Hello Person or Persons Unknown, the following content you uploaded violates one or more of our policies and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

File:Gravity Falls S2E19.png

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works
  • commercial use
  • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions.

Hi! :) I revert your change to File:Digraph - sj.png. The quality of your work is better indeed, but it makes the entire function of the image useless. In the Limburgish digraph, the s is on top of j, which was not reflected in your version. Otherwise we could just use SJ in text anyway and the image would be unnecessary. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 09:07, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Person or Persons Unknown, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:

  • Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
  • Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
  • Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

File moving[edit]

Hi, Person or Persons Unknown. Two questions: where is the "obvious error" here and why did you consider a file uploaded seven years ago a "recently uploaded file"? (according to policy, redirects should be deleted only "to move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect"). Cheers. Strakhov (talk) 18:42, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It seems like I just didn’t check it properly. Of course, it must be criterion 2, and redirect was deleted automatically. I’ll take it into account. — Person or Persons Unknown (talk)

Shape of Cyrillic capital and small letter Ghe with hook[edit]

Looking at File:Cyrillic capital letter Ghe with hook.svg and File:Cyrillic small letter Ghe with hook.svg ( and ) it seems the original versions ([1] and [2] with the hook on the right of the stem instead of straight under it) were better match for what is used in the Nivkh Bible translation Иисуса Христа. 176-177/Luke_Stry.pdf and a couple of other sources. Готские буквы[edit]

Mercury (talk) 16:13, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

— Person or Persons Unknown (talk)

--Mercury (talk) 16:12, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

— Person or Persons Unknown (talk)

If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Notification about possible deletion[edit]

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

The uppercase ʍ in File:Latin letter turned W.svg seems to be original work and, if that is the case, should probably not be in the image used to represent general the Latin letter turned W, but could be in a separate image used in discussion of a possible shape. Does this shape come from a source or did you create it? --moyogo (talk) 15:07, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have created it by myself, but it’s based on Unicode proposal: [6]. — Person or Persons Unknown (talk)

You can learn Ukrainian[edit]

If you don't understand Ukrainian, then I can assure you that you can learn Ukrainian in language learning apps. Maybe Duolingo or Babbel. If you don't want to learn Ukrainian, it's fine but, you might not understand what Ukrainian people say. Chiagozie Elobuike (talk) 11:40, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
