Thanks for uploading File:Cristian_church_(Jordan,_33-70)_in_Magyar_Kurir_12_06_2008.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Cristian_church_(Jordan,_33-70)_in_Magyar_Kurir_12_06_2008.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Not free enough. Permission must also be given for every form of reuse, only reuse not includes modification. Also the permission must be perpetual. If permission on the website is intended to allow free reuse by everyone, everywhere for every purpose including commercial reuse and modification perpetually it should be easy to ask and confirm the freedom. --Martin H. creative commons

Hi,

there are a few noticed on this page already, but I'd like to notify you about File:Arshile Gorky Agonia 1947.jpg. On the source page herre on artportal.hu stand a Creative Commons lincense. "by-nc-nd/2.5/hu/" to be exact.

Which means: Nevezd meg!-Ne add el!-Ne változtasd! 2.5 Magyarország[1] - Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.5 Hungary

In other words: The work may be re-used but only in a non-commercial way and no derivative works may me made. This kind of license is not allowed on commons, because the source is not considered Free.

Something else, the photo in question was a 2D representation of a paiting, this paiting is also copyrighted I believe, because the work is not in the public domain untill 70 years after the death of the author. Reading the date is 1947 (2010-1947=63) it's less then 70 years ago, not the mention the fact when the author died.

Hi! Can you please check the permission for this image? It is just a link to the page on Picasa? --MGA73 (talk) 18:57, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi! It is my page on Picasa. Ferenc Somorjai is my friend. --Pataki Márta (talk) 21:52, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Did you just remove the image on Picasa? I can not see it right now. Also, could you perhaps change the license on Picasa? --MGA73 (talk) 21:58, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Pardon, I just remove image:-(

http://picasaweb.google.hu/npataki/SzegedEsVideke#5129286424703534258

He he ok that is why... The license is now http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/ and the nc and the nd will not work for commons. See Commons:Licensing. License can for example be cc-by-3.0 or cc-by-sa-3.0. --MGA73 (talk) 22:17, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Just a follow up. License is still ...nc... It would be a help if you could get that removed :-) --MGA73 (talk) 19:24, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

File:Howard_Gardner_Approved3_2009_Hi_Res.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Photo of Hildebrand bronze

Hello! I was surprised to see that you have substituted an old and small black-and-white photo for my newer and larger color photo. [[2]] Why do this? It would be better just to upload your photo to Wikimedia Commons as an entirely separate file instead of replacing the other version. The two can coexist peacefully on Commons. They can even be linked to each other in the "Other Version" rubric. I would suggest that you upload your photo and revert the previous action replacing my version. What do you think of my suggestion? --Jdsteakley (talk) 14:01, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

  • File:Trinkender.jpg is not the source of this photographic work
  • Adolf von Hildebrand is not the photographer of this photo

So where is the photo from, who created the photo. Did the photographer release the photographic work under CC. --Martin H. (talk) 16:28, 22 September 2010 (UTC) Author:Adolf von Hildebrand (1847-1921) sculptor

The question is not the sculpturor. The question is: Who is the photographer! This is a photo of a 3D sculpture. To upload this photo here it is required that the sculpture is public domain and that the photographic work is public domain. The sculpture is public domain, the sculpturer died >70 years ago, but who is the photographer? --Martin H. (talk) 21:18, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
I mean, I knew the source is given, I do not know the name of the photographer. Formerly a sculptor of the dead, matter who photographed, not enough resources?--Pataki Márta (talk) 21:32, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
A photographer who made a photograph of something that is 3D has a copyright on the photo. This copyright will last the photgraphers lifetime +70 years. You have to provide some more information about the photo. At the moment we dont even konw how old the photo is. --Martin H. (talk) 21:38, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I'm looking for a photographer.--Pataki Márta (talk) 22:10, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi Pataki Márta. I was wondering if there was a problem with the initial version of the file. If yes, you should probably list it for deletion.

The other image you uploaded doesn't seem to be from 1912 so it might not be a good replacement. It should rather be uploaded under a new name. --  Docu  at 12:53, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
