How to make this efficient[edit]

It would be kind of futile trying to list all the trustworthy non-admins I know here, since most of them never make category redirects anyway.

What we need is the following: If Orgullobot finds a non-empty category in Category:Category redirects and it decides not to do the redirect because the last editor is not whitelisted, it should instead add the category to a list somewhere. Then we get a short list of people where whitelisting would actually have an effect. And if Orgullobot periodically updates that list, we can easily keep the category redirects under control while staying protected against category redirect vandalism.

Is something still being done in this area? From what I can see, it's been about 4 months aso since objects in categories with category redirects have been cleaned up... I got a script that can take care of this stuff and will be experimenting with it soonish... Siebrand 09:15, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
