Saw this ... thanks! what about just making it start now-nowish but ending it on 31 mar instead of waiting? What about an announce on the pump and wait a day for any last min changes, then go live? I'm afraid there was no consensus to grant you bureaucrat access at this time, so I archived your RfB request. Thank you for running - SUL has given bureaucrats a bit more of a burden, and I think it will become somewhat worse when it's open to everybody (not just admins), so extra help in the future may be indeed required. I want to take the opportunity to thank you for your work on COM:CHU in particular, it has been nice with an extra helping hand there. I'd just like to ask you to be a bit careful in checking if users have indeed some sort of crosslink to Commons, it has happened a couple of times that they exist and you still ask for crosslink - that could potentially make the requesters more confused or, worst case scenario, angry ;).

The descriptions in Category:Images from Wikipedia Takes Manhattan by official-ly cool, Category:Images from Wikipedia Takes Manhattan by NewYorkDolls and Category:Images from Wikipedia Takes Manhattan by wikiWHAT are incorrectly formatted. They should look more like the correct descriptions at Category:Images from Wikipedia Takes Manhattan by Sheila and Category:Images from Wikipedia Takes Manhattan by Tony. Basically, the {{WTM}} expression should move from 'Description' to 'Author', the 'Source' should be "Contributed by author(s)", and the 'Date' should be "April 4, 2008"; the {{WTMtag}} expressions should stay where they are, however, in the 'Description' field. That was part of my answer. It is obvious that you have interpreted the deletion discussion as a vote count, as there are more keep comments in quantity. However, most of those keeps would not have been as compelling as any delete argument, as they referred to consensus-agreed processes relating to no source and unclear copyright images, international copyright law, and the nature of Commons itself.
  • No source: media like this would have been deleted sooner
  • Unclear copyright: a dispute whether {{PD-ineligible}} was legit was clearly visible
    • The default action to take if media has unclear copyright status is deletion until clear copyright terms can be sourced
  • Nature of Commons: Wikimedia Commons, like any other Wikimedia project, must have content that at least guarantees the rights to use, study, redistribute, and make changes and improvements in any way (unless some project has an exemption doctrine policy)
Few keep arguments presented evidence to sufficiently structure their reasoning. Two keep arguments did provide some structure, but they were refuted by the deletes. If there are any more questions or dissatisfaction, please make an undeletion request. 哦，是吗？(висчвын) 00:48, 23 April 2008 (GMT)
