Axum Obelisk[edit]

I think you should mind COM:OVERCAT. And what is actually the difference between Category:Axumite obelisks and Category:Obelisk of Axum? I was there; the whole stele field near the St. Mary of Zion Church is called "Obelisk of Axum"; including the steles, the tomb, and the museum. --A.Savin 12:26, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I understand: Axumite obelisks = all stelae fields in Axum, Obelisk of Axum = only the field near St. Mary Church. But then, this edit violates COM:OVERCAT and I'm going to remove "Axumite obelisks". Please do not repeat. --A.Savin 12:29, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @A.Savin: Yes, Category:Axumite obelisks covers all stelae fields and stelae in Axum. Category:Obelisk of Axum, however, is not a stelae field. It is one particular stela or stele. Read the description at Category:Obelisk of Axum. It says, "The Obelisk of Axum (today, especially in Axum, also called the Rome Stele) is a 1,700-year-old, 24-metres (78-foot) tall granite stele / obelisk, weighing 160 tonnes." "Auckland District" is not the same as Auckland Region[edit]

Bearing in mind these illustrations were from a book published in 1904 called "Trout-Fishing and Sport in Maoriland,"

I think that by "Auckland District" he meant either the Auckland provincial district, based on the earlier Auckland Province, or the Auckland Acclimatisation Society District, which included at least the Waikato, and perhaps Taupo etc (I haven't researched it fully). The Auckland Region is, of course, a later creation, and not greatly known for trout fishing. It would be nice to know exactly where the trout came from, but I suspect Waikato, Taupo or Rotorua areas. Nurg (talk) 04:08, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
