Inactive sysop

Dear Notafish/archives3. I am writing to you to inform you that you are in danger of losing your adminship on Commons because of inactivity.

You were not listed because you made over 5 log actions (e.g. deletion) after August 17, 2009, when is 6 months before starting this run. Inactivity section is run on Feb-Mar and Aug-Sep. So I reverted your edits. Best regards. – Kwj2772 (msg) 14:07, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Picture file of largest ships

I have admired the excellent file you made of size comparisons of several classes of ships on e.g., the Seawise Giant article. Very well done. Perhaps you could alter them to include the Oasis of the Seas, the largest passenger ship? en:Talk:Coxeter-Dynkin diagram symbols

I reloaded File:CDW 20.svg (and 10,17) which is a duplicate of "File:CDV 20.svg" BUT the W name is the correct one, to be consistent with all the other symbols. I created the symbol system for building up Coxeter-Dynkin diagrams. The SVG author named it "V" as a temporary parallel set, but "W" means ("Whole"), while "V" means nothing at all. Re your picture of drawing of largest ships and comparison with aeroplanes

Dear Notafish My name is Annika Mansson (ms) working as a shipping agent in Stockholm, Sweden. Im currently working on making a homepage with as little commercial about shipping lines as possible. I also want to show the customers how ships looks like and comparison with aeroplanes. Im wondering if its ok if I put your picture in my homepage? I found your picture in Wikipeda.org

I found the picture very interesting because its not easy for people working in the business to understand how a ship looks like and the size of it. Most of the pictures that I have found is with companies logotypes on and it doesnt say much really. So, Im looking for different pictures of ships, aeroplanes, trucks, pallets etc.

Picture of the Year voting round 1 open

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:
