The Transformer Nomination[edit]

Hi,

I reply to your questions about transformer textures here. I see you have high standards and taste of graphics, so I would appreciate any advice on texture very much. This is a GNU project and all who help are credited duely.

The material for insulation is "Cork". It is somewhat like pluto cap on bottle. It seemed like a material that surely reminds of insulator. I may seek to find a texture resembling plastic semi-transparent sheath, like that on real transformers. Your advice has been very helpful.

The texture I took for connector is actually the "SandalWood". It is an insulator, put something resembling cheramic material or different kind of plastic would be better of course.

I will ask your permission to list you in the THANKS file of our project.

SVG issues[edit]

Thanks, text to trace was the solution for the eye diagram :). Btw, do you know what to do to make usable this svg? (be careful, it crashes firefox if you open the raw svg. In inkscape it has no problems, but the mediawiki renderer can not deal with it, and when it does (thumbnails of less than 337px width), zones where I used the "fill with pattern" feature are not displayed correctly. Here you have a png version of the same file if it helps [1]. Zones with squares were filled with the "fill with pattern" option of Inkscape. Chabacano 13:43, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chabacano. I had a look at this SVG. It crashes my firefox and my w:konqueror, although these two browsers use completely independent rendering engines. Now I'm really interested. I uploaded an edit. As you can see on the image description page, the SVG source code is now strict valid and there is a thumbnail rendered (but only if the thumbnail doesn't exceed the width of 250px). Unfortunately it's still not displayed at fullsize and the patterns are gone. I will try my hand on this, perhaps I can find the clue. --norro 09:38, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Use of {{Badname}}[edit]

{{Badname}} should only be used when both images are identical and the image you placed the template on was uploaded by you. If the image is identical but not uploaded by you use {{Duplicate}} instead. Unfourtunatley the two images are not identical, there are slight differences between the two images meaning an admin cannot delete them. For them specific images I suggest you go to COM:DEL. Hola. Eres el primer usuario que me envía un mensaje en español ;). La imagen ya esta licenciada con GFDL, pero el problema está en que no se como crear graficos vectoriales. Le pregunte al un usuario de la Wikipedia en español como se creaban estas imagenes, pero no me respondió.Voy a poner el enlace en la imagen, el resto (SVG) no se como hacerlo. Licence on Image:Control_surfaces_at_the_wing_of_a_plane.svg[edit]

It seems that Image:Control_surfaces_at_the_wing_of_a_plane.svg is a derivative work of Image:PlaneWing.png. The earlier work is licenced under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 2.5 License, but your work is licenced under the GFDL 1.2.
