File:Flatiron Building NYC up front (from Broadway and 5th Avenue) in Color Splash - Tux Photography.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hi[edit]

Hiya. I kept your photo in the prior discussion. I totally understand about timezones and I'm not in a hurry. Let's you and I fix that first gorgeous photo of yours, and then I can show you how to upload future ones and not have problems. I went through the same sort of thing when I was new here, I understand completely. Your friendly admin with mop and bucket... Ellin Beltz (talk) 15:26, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some clues...

  1. signing name is ~~~~ four tildes. That signs/dates your letters for you.
  2. To get someone to reply to you, type {{u|NewYorkPhotography}} but replace your name with their name such as {{u|Ellin Beltz}}
  3. Use the star on the top bar to "watch" a page, then use your "watchlist" at very top to see what has changed since you last visited. Any pages you have starred to watch will appear on the watchlist and you can pick which to view... what we type in the edit summary down below is what shows in the watchlist, making it a good idea to always use that box - and also to be polite, because the whole world might be watching!
  4. My user page (not the talk page, we each have two)... has a pile more information you might find useful... also that big colored box at the top of your page is super-useful as a handy link to the stuff. As you said, thought it often needs more explanation... and that's what the volunteers are here for.
  5. The Village Pump is linked on your sidebar always... you can ask a question there any time of the day or night and then just watch for the reply to your question. In about two or three days the pages are archived though because so many people ask.
  6. Never hesitate to ask me for anything. Ellin Beltz (talk) 15:32, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
