@JuTa: Hi I can't understand the rules of image uploading. Because I am poor in English. but if you give answer to me I can easily understand. First of all that image should be public domain. Regarding this rule I find images in this way .....

1. google images 2. search tools 3. usage right 4. Labeled for reuse .... This steps I have followed. after that I type "pranab mukherjee raksha bandhan" and google search display some pic which are for public domain. After that I use File:Pranab rakhi.jpg image. You have to write the source in the source field, see en:Wikipedia:Citing sources. Not instructions how to find the source.

For File:Pranab rakhi.jpg the source is the Press Information Bureau of the Government of India, Online at http://pibmumbai.gov.in/scripts/detail.asp?releaseId=E2012PH3091. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) is named as the author. The date is not 28 July 2014 but 2 August 2012. The file however seems not to be free. There is nothing at that source that suggest a free licensing. And by law the media files are copyrighted. Possibly you searched for "free to use and share", thats insufficient. NehalDaveND नमस्ते, आपका ईमेल मिला। मैं आपको विकिमीडिया कॉमन्स के बारे में समझाता हूँ। सबसे पहले तो कोई भी चित्र जो आपने लिया या बनाया नहीं है उसे यहाँ अपलोड न करे। गूगल से लिया हुआ चित्र तो कभी नहीं। गूगल पर कॉपीराइट चित्रों की भरमार है। यहाँ के नियम बहुत सख़्त है। हर चित्र अपलोड करने पर यहाँ लाइसेंस देना पड़ता है। कई तरह के लाइसेंस में से एक है कॉपीराइट। कॉपीराइट का मतलब है कि कॉपीराइट धारक के अनुमति के बिना किसी भी रूप में कॉपीराइट की गई चीज़ इस्तेमाल करना वर्जित है। जो वो बिना मुनाफ़े के नहीं देते। विकिपीडिया और कॉमन्स दोनो ही गैर-मुनाफ़ा संस्था विकिमीडिया फ़ाउंडेशन द्वारा चलित है। बाकी दूसरे महत्वपूर्ण लाइसेंस में से एक है मुक्त लाइसेंस (en:Free license) जिसके चित्र यहाँ रखे जाते है। मुक्त लाइसेंस का मतलब कि किसी भी चित्र या फाइल का जैसे चाहे कोई भी इस्तेमाल कर सकता है, व्यावसायिक रूप में भी। सिर्फ एक शर्त के साथ कि मूल रचनाकर्ता को श्रेय दिया जाए। मैं देख रहा हूँ आपने कुछ दिन पहले File:स्वच्छभारतम्.jpg अपलोड किया है जो मेरे ख्याल से आपके द्वारा ही बनाया गया है। जो आपने यहाँ मुक्त लाइसेंस के तहत जारी किया है। इसी के लिये है कॉमन्स। अब मेरे स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के चित्र अपलोड करने के बारे में। दरअसल वो एक लोगो है जो शायद कॉपीराइट तो नहीं है पर उसे व्यावसायिक रूप में इस्तेमाल नहीं किया जा सकता ("मुक्त लाइसेंस" की जरूरत)। इसके लिये अमेरिका (जहाँ इस संस्था के सर्वर स्थापित है) के कानून में उचित उपयोग औचित्य (en:fair use) है। इसी के तहत मैंने वो लोगो अंग्रेज़ी विकिपीडिया से लेकर हिन्दी विकिपीडिया पर अपलोड किया है। इसका संक्षेप में मतलब है कि किसी लेख में पहचान के लिये गैर-मुक्त लाइसेंस वाली चीज़ों को इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता। बशर्ते उसका इस्तेमाल मुनाफ़ा करने के लिये न हो। आपको इसके लिये संस्कृत विकिपीडिया पर ये वाली सुविधा लागू करवानी पड़ेगी। उम्मीद है आपकी समस्या का समाधान हो गया होगा। कोई और सवाल हो तो बेझिझक पूछे, मैं अपनी पूरी कोशिश करूँगा आपकी मदद करने की। कृपया टिप्पणी और सवाल यही पोस्ट करे, मैं ईमेल बहुत कम जाँचता हूँ। मैं इस पन्ने को अपनी ध्यानसूची में रख रहा हूँ। धन्यवाद।--हिंदुस्थान वासी (talk) 10:29, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

ओ! यानी वहाँ गैर-मुक्त चित्र इस्तेमाल नहीं कर सकते। क्योंकि किसी विकिपीडिया पर डाला गया फोटो दूसरी पर प्रयोग नहीं किया जा सकता। कॉमन्स पर सिर्फ मुक्त चित्र ही रखे जाते है। गैर-मुक्त चित्रों पर उचित प्रयोग औचित्य देना पड़ता है - hi:चित्र:Swachh Bharat Abhiyan logo.jpg पर देखें। अगर आपको ये चित्र संस्कृत विकि पर प्रयोग करना है तो लोकली अपलोड वाली सुविधा लागू करवानी पड़ेगी। पर इससे कई झंझट पैदा होते है (जैसे कोई कैसा भी चित्र अपलोड कर देता है)। इसलिये ये सुविधा मेरे ख्याल से संस्कृत विकिपीडिया समुदाय के छोटे होने के कारण उपलब्ध नहीं है।--हिंदुस्थान वासी (talk) 12:06, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

Copyright and permission

Hi, The rule is quite simple: do not upload images from the Internet unless you get a permission from the photographer, which is difficult and rare. All recent images have a copyright by default (even if not mentioned anywhere). Images from India are in the public domain only 60 years after publication, i.e. published before 1955. ગિજુભાઈ બધેકાનું ચિત્ર

ગિજુભાઈનું ચિત્ર જે પુસ્તકના મુખપૃષ્ઠ પરથી આપ લેવા માગતા હતા (આ તે શી માથાફોડ!) તે ૨૦૦૪માં પુનઃમુદ્રિત આવૃત્તિ છે અને મૂળ પુસ્તક આપણી પાસે છે નહિ માટે તે મૂળ પુસ્તકનો ભાગ હતો કે નહિ તે ખબર નથી માટે તે રદ કરવા માટે જણાવેલ છે અને તેનાથી આપે બનાવેલ ચિત્ર પણ રદ થઈ જશે માટે આપનું ધ્યાન દોરવા માગતો હતો કે હવે જો ગિજુભાઈનું ચિત્ર બીજી કોઈ જગ્યાએથી મળે તો આપ મને જાણ કરશો અને મને મળશે તો હું આપને જાણ કરીશ. આભાર.--Vyom25 (talk) 07:03, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
