Symbole "Route der Industriekultur"[edit]

Hallo Nati!

Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, gab es einige Symbole (als PNG) einmal von Dir und einmal von User:Docfeelgood3, die inhaltlich identisch waren. Ich meine, dass ich, weil sie doppelt waren, ein entsprechendes Template eingefügt habe. Desweiteren habe ich, wie Du ja schon geschrieben hast, die entsprechende Bilder als SVG hochgeladen. Wie Du vielleicht weißt, sind SVGs skalierbare Vektorgraphiken. Somit kannst Du sie ohne Qualitätsverlust in jede benötigte Größe ziehen. Ich habe dazu Inkscape (OpenSource) verwendet. Da ich selbst bald in den Urlaub gehe, kann ich an der Stelle nicht weitermachen. Ich möchte Euch raten, die Symbole als SVG zu verwenden. Warum? Steht hier: Wechsel zu SVG.

Ich wollte Euch da natürlich nichts kaputt machen. Ich hab's eigentlich nur gut gemeint... Sorry für eventuelle Ärgernisse!

Ok. Das mit dem gut gemeint hab ich dann mit den SVGs auch gemerkt, vorher war ich schon sauer. Schön, das du jetzt so gemeldetst hast, Danke! Ich werd mal die SVG-Versionen ausprobieren. Das Panoramasymbol sieht irgendwie wackelig aus - wie hast du das gemacht? Ich hab drei Rechtecke übereinander gelegt, 120° Rotation um die Mittelachse und dann miteinander verschmelzen lassen (MS Visio). --Nati aus Sythen (talk) 19:09, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gademe[edit]

Hi, ich hab's wieder rückgängig gemacht, die Gademen haben mit der Zeche Königsborn nichts zu tun, die sind /etwas/ älter :-) Zu überlegen wäre noch, ob die Kategorie "Windpumpe königsborn" nicht besser nach "Saline Königsborn" verschoben werden sollte, weil dann darinnen auch der Kurpark und die anderen Relikte des ehemaligen Kurbads vereinigt werden könnten. -- smial (talk) 10:25, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Na, dann müsste es ja eigentlich zu Windpumpe und Wärterhaus, den Gademen und dem Kurpark eigene Artikel (auf .de) und eigene Kategorien (hier) geben, die dann bei Cat:RIK und ggfs. bei Cat:Saline Königsborn einzusortieren wären. Ok, die Kategorie Windpumpe hab ich gefunden und einige nicht kategorisierte Bilder. Ich versuche mal zu sortieren und du schaust anschließend mal drüber, ok? ERIH[edit]

Hallo Nati, die Route der Industriekultur sieht dank Deines Fleißes ja schon ganz hervorragend aus. Nun möchte ich mich mal an die nächste Stufe heranwagen: Die European Route of Industrial Heritage liegt bisher noch völlig brach, da ist noch rein gar nichts kategorisiert. Bevor ich damit anfange, möchte ich mich gerne mit Dir absprechen und Deine Meinung zu den vorliegenden Problemen Herausforderungen hören (ähh - lesen!). Wirf doch bitte mal einen Blick auf die Webseite der ERIH. Bei 845 Standorten in 29 europäischen Staaten, 66 Ankerpunkten, 11 regionalen Routen und 10 Themenrouten scheint es mir nicht mehr möglich, den Kategoriebaum so extrem flach zu halten wie bei der RIK. Ohja, das ist ein weites Feld. Und es gibt jede Menge Überschneidungen mit der RIK. Hatte ich mir das ungefähr für 2010/11 vorgenommen, wenn die RIK einigermaßen fertig ist;-).

  • Aber mal zum Thema:
  • Auch die RIK hat alles in allem ungefähr 800-900 Punkte, die kategorisiert werden können (Standorte, Ankerpunkte, Personen, Themenrouten, ...). Da ist die Zahl der ERIH erstmal nicht so viel anders (falls nicht noch mehr dahintersteckt, was ja eigentlich immer der Fall ist;-).
  • In welchem Staat (in welcher Region wie z. B. Ruhrgebiet) sich ein Standort befindet wird ja eh kategorisiert, da sollte es eigentlich nix extra geben. Wobei ich von den anderen Regionen gar nicht weiß ob es die als Kategorie schon gibt, z. B. Großbritannien: Der Industrielle Osten.
  • Ein Standort kann bestimmt sowohl Ankerpunkt sein als auch in den Routen vorkommen (z. B. Zeche Zollverein), wenn man da mit Unterkategorien für regionale und Themenrouten arbeiten würde dann käme sie mehrfach vor.

ERIH nach allen Kriterien kategorisiert ergäbe ja wieder diese Parallelwelt, die wir schon bei der RIK vermeiden wollten. Darauf will ich sicher nicht hinaus. Ich denke inzwischen aber, dass es ganz sinnvoll wäre, nach Staaten zu kategorisieren. Während die Stationen der RIK alle innerhalb eines Radius von zwei bis drei Autostunden liegen, sich also alle innerhalb eines halbwegs bequem erreichbaren Gebietes befinden, liegen die Stationen von ERIH bis zu mehrere tausend Kilometer voneinander entfernt. Von größerem Interesse sind daher meist nur die Stationen eines Staates oder einiger weniger Staaten. Ich möchte den Usern nicht zumuten, sich durch hunderte von Einträgen wühlen zu müssen, um erst nach langer Suche die paar seines Heimat- oder Urlaubslandes finden zu können. Folgende Kategorien hatte ich mir vorgestellt:

Hmmm, was machst du dann mit den europäischen Routen, z. B. Textil? Wäre das nicht besser in Gallerten aufzubauen (auch die Länder- oder Regionensachen) und die Stationen selbst in einer flachen Geschichte? Category:Nahmertal[edit]

Hallo Nati, bei dieser Kategorie habe ich etwas Bauchschmerzen. Da keines der Bilder die Kaltwalzindustrie im Nahmertal als Station der RIK zeigt, halte ich die Category:Route der Industriekultur für falsch. Auch den deutschen Artikel de:Nahmerbach entsprechend zu kategorisieren halte ich für reichlich gewagt. Nur die Kaltwalzindustrie im Nahmertal, von der es (noch) kein Foto gibt, gehört zur RIK, nicht der Bach und nicht allgemein das Tal. Was hat die Bahn mit dem Nahmertal zu tun? Das Nahmertal liegt nicht in Herscheid, wo den Beschreibungen nach die Bilder der Bahn gemacht wurden. -- Ies (talk) 17:35, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo les. Sorry für die späte Antwort, bin zurzeit selten in der Wikipedia unterwegs. Bei der Kategory hier auf Commons kann ich dir durchaus folgen, jedenfalls was die Einsortierung in der RIK angeht. Ich werd das rausnehmen. Im deutschen Artikel ist allerdings die Kaltwalzindustrie beschireben und von daher find ich die Kategorisierung RIK dort ok. Könnte man natürlich in einen eigenen Artikel auslagern aber es gibt auch noch so viele andere Sachen zu tun. Die Lok gehörte übrigens ursprünglich zur de:Hohenlimburger Kleinbahn, die an der Nahmer entlangführte, von daher halte ich diese Bilder durchaus für richtig platziert. Wie geht´s voran mit der ERIH? Überraschungsbilder[edit]

Hallo NatiSythen,

ich habe gerade gesehen, dass Du dabei hilfst die Überraschungsbilder aktuell zu halten. Dafür erstmal Danke! Ich hätte dazu aber eine kleine Bitte: Kannst Du vielleicht in die Zusammenfassungszeile, ähnlich, wie JuTa das bisher gemacht hat, die fortlaufende Nummer und die Beschreibung des Bildes mit einfügen (siehe Versionsgeschichte)? Ich finde das recht hilfreich, um kein "Jubiläum" zu verpassen.

Hallo NatiSythen, bei diesen Foto hast du geschrieben "Author died more than 70 years ago" und zugleich "Autor unbekannt". Das passt nicht so ganz zusammen. Mir geht es nicht darum, das Foto zu löschen; aber die Lizensierung muss auf stabilere Beine gestellt werden. Außerdem wäre es gut, wenn du als Quelle nicht nur die Domain zeno.org sondern die URL der Seite, wo das Bild gezeigt wird, angeben würdest. --Túrelio (talk) 20:07, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Túrelio, die genaue Zeno-url versuch ich mal nachzuschauen und dann nachzutragen. Die Angaben waren von da übernommen, tut mir Leid, mehr weiß ich auch nicht. Picture of the Year voting round 1 open[edit]

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:

  1. Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
  2. This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.

Hi, habe dort kein Schild der Route Industriekultur gefunden, obwohl ich gesucht habe. Übrigens heißt das Werk laut Infoschild Pumpwerk Zollvereingraben (ohne 's'), vielleicht sollte mand as noch korrigierein.

Neue Luftbilder zur freien Verwendung[edit]

Hallo.

Aktuell lade ich zahlreiche Luftbilder in die Cloud, die ich gerne für die freie Nutzung (Creative Commons CC-BY-SA, Fotograf: Tim Reckmann) bei Wikipedia und sonstwo freigeben möchte. Leider komme ich aktuell nicht ganz so oft dazu die Bilder selbst zu veröffentlichen, daher gebe ich einfach öffentlich meinen entsprechenden Google-Drive Ordner frei: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0co4GqaBaLZUlVWSEQ4dEFDYVE&usp=sharing - Ich bin gerade dabei noch ein paar aktuellere Bilder hochzuladen, aber ich denke/hoffe, das ist schon mal ein Anfang und die Bilder sind qualitativ oft hochwertiger, als meine ersten Luftbilder. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

  • In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
  • In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

  1. 157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
  2. In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
  3. In third place, 131 people voted for an image of a swallow flying and drinking.

Hallo, hab gesehen dass das Bild zur Löschung ansteht und gesucht. Wies aussieht hattest du schon Kontakt mit dem Fotografen. Vielleicht kannst du dich um eine Lösung kümmern, OTRS oder so, die dann zur Lizenz für alle seine Bilder genutzt werden kann? Route der Industriekultur in Dorsten[edit]

Moin :-) Ich habe noch ein paar Fotos der Zeche Fürst Leopold und der zugehörigen Zechensiedlung in Dorsten. Sollte man die auch irgendwie in die Route der Industriekultur hier einkategorisieren? Hier zB das Trafohäuschen. Ich habe noch nicht so den Überblick zur RIK, könntest du mir vielleicht helfen, eine passende (Unter-)Kategorie zu finden bzw. anzulegen? Nachholtermin 17. Fotoworkshop[edit]

Moin von der Küste,
es ist schon so viele Jahre her, dass wir uns in Nürnberg getroffen haben, wir (Ailura und ich) planten deshalb einen Fotoworkshop im Frühjahr 2019. Als wir erfuhren, dass Sebastian ebenfalls in Frühjahr ein BarCamp plant, entschlossen wir uns, zusammen zu arbeiten. Wir gliedern uns organisatorisch an diesem BarCamp an, sprich sind im gleichen Hotel, essen gemeinsam und nutzen ein Raum des Camps für unsere Fotovorträge, ähnlich wie auf der WikiCon 2011 in Nürnberg.
Wie Ihr vielleicht mitbekommen habt, ist Gnu zu seiner letzten Wanderung aufgebrochen, daher möchten auch wir seiner Gedenken.
Die weiteren Tage wollen wir gemeinsam ein Programm aus Fototouren und Vorträgen zusammenstellen, es ist noch viel Luft für Eure Ideen und Vorträge. Den geplanten ausführlichen LR Workshop wird zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt im Frühsommer ( WMDE gibt den Ort vor) stattfinden, da dieser sehr weit in die Tiefe gehen soll. Ich würde mich freuen, Euch in Nürnberg begrüßen zu können, wundere Dich nicht über meine Nachricht auch wenn Du lange nichts mehr editiert hast, ich habe Deinen Namen aus den letzten FWS kopiert. ;)
