How does BotMultichillT know botany?

I'm amazed at the botanical knowledge of this bot, when it entered a synonym of a species here, apparently correctly. How does the bot know that? Or does “Bot” stand for “botany”? ;-) ◅ SebastianHelm (talk) 11:07, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

@SebastianHelm: no clue about botany, but it's pretty decent when it comes to logic. In this case the file is in use at Rosa villosa which is the gallery for Category:Rosa villosa. Multichill (talk) 19:52, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

Medea-chart database on old nautical charts

Hi, I’m sending this message to all participants of Commons Wikimaps listed here, so that I can be pretty sure it will get to some of you. I am the Principal Investigator of the ERC funded project Medea-Chart ([1]), hosted by the University of Lisbon, whose scientific objective is the study of the genesis, evolution and use of nautical charts from the Middle Ages to the early modern period. One of the visible outcomes of our project is the Medea-Chart database, aimed at storing and making available information and images of all extant manuscript nautical charts: [2]. Since the images of old maps and charts are now in the public domain and our database is open to all, I’m sure your project could benefit from it. The most obvious way would be to download from there all the images you are interested in, but I imagine you could use the tool for more sophisticated purposes. For now, I invite all of you to go there, browse the database, do geographical searches, read our “Chart of the Week” mini-articles, etc. You don’t even need to register for that. Registration is only required for those interested in downloading high resolution images or producing reports. Best wishes and have fun, Alvesgaspar (talk) 21:21, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Is BotMultichillT running properly at the moment?

Hello Multichill. You are in charge of BotMultichillT, which takes a lot of work off many people here. It inserts structured data into files and arranges the categories (or removes unnecessary hidden categories). With my last file (File:Kasteln Castle Schenkenberg Valley.jpg) BotMultichillT does not seem to have become active yet. Is it possible that BotMultichillT is not running properly? How can I get BotMultichillT to edit my latest upload? Thank you Chme82 (talk) 20:17, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

@Chme82: Yeah, some jerkish actions broke a bunch of bots and I didn't really have the time, energy and motivation to fix it. See phab:T280806. Multichill (talk) 22:49, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
@Multichill: Thank you for your response. Just as I thought. Other bots are not running as they should either. I guess I'll have to wait and see. Chme82 (talk) 10:46, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
@Chme82: some jobs are working again. I have to check what is still broken now. Multichill (talk) 19:49, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
@Multichill: Thank you. Chme82 (talk) 09:00, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Not adding all structured data

HI, your BotMultichillT doesn't add the same info to Structured data although two different images has the same general information.

I'm pretty sure I added the same information on them (just different file name). I can add it manually but it seems strange to me. --please ping me-- Goran tek-en (talk) 20:17, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I have a similar question. Why your bot didn't add "instance of"=photograph here and here (I had to do it myself), while it did it on File:Plafond de la chapelle des Maccabées 3.jpg (i.e. [3]). Thanks, Yann (talk) 21:07, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
