Sets creator to Wikipedia username when Wikidata item would be a better choice

On many many of my uploaded images, MultichillBot has set Property/creator to "Wikimedia username: David Eppstein" (example). I would greatly prefer that, if we are going to have bots running around setting properties, that they use a more complete pointer to my identity, my Wikidata item d:Q3017847 rather than my username (example). Is it too much to ask that the bot do that? Or at least that someone associated with the bot find a way to do that, rather than leaving little messes all over my images for me to have to clean up manually myself? —David Eppstein (talk) 06:24, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing to Commons! It's a generic bot and most people who upload enough are not notable enough to have an item on Wikidata. It's not a mess, it's correct but could be improved. That would be a job for another robot to do. At the moment I have no plans on implementing that. Multichill (talk) 18:30, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

BotMultichillT SDC edit discussion in village pump

Hi, this is just a notification because i think that i failed with ping so i do it like in the old days with a talk page message. There is discussion in the village pump which wonders why the coordinates in the SDC updated by BotMultichillT differs from template values. --Zache (talk) 16:05, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

Painting

"Higher resolution without blur + color correction" should be minor. I've read COM:OVERWRITE. There is no point of using a very poor quality image instead of the better version of the exact painting. And I don't think the poor image is justified as a separate file. --Nyxaros (talk) 09:12, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Ich habe in der Tat eine gleiches Bild, nämlich das Foto des Museums, in dem das Bild hängt, übernommen, weil es hochauflösend ist im Gegensatz zu dem bisherigen, welches aus einem Buch stammt. Bei der Umbenennung habe ich mich allerdings „verhauen“.

Der Grund der Umbenennung ist folgender: Der Titel „Jesuitenkirche“ ist irreführend in heutigen Zeiten und kein Mensch kann diese in Düsseldorf finden, wenn er nicht weiß, dass St. Andreas gemeint ist, welche teilweise auf Stadtplänen von Düsseldorf als „Dominikanerkloster“ geführt wird, also auch hier unter „Jesuiten“ nicht zu finden ist. Und das Original wird von der Galerij Prins Willem V aka Mauritshuis als „De St Andreaskerk te Düsseldorf“ aufgelistet. Mir ist allerdings dann die Formatierung missglückt. Dennoch bleiben die Tatsachen.

@Jarekt: that was the wrong image. Sometimes their API doesn't return the primary image. This version is not PD-art, but CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 see https://www.gardnermuseum.org/organization/rights-reproductions . I restored the right image. You might find some more cases like this.
