Flickr batch upload

Hi Multichill! I have placed a request for a Flickr batch upload at [1], but I am uncertain if the page is still active. Please let me known if this is the proper procedure, or if I should do otherwise... Thank you! पाटलिपुत्र (talk) 07:28, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

@पाटलिपुत्र: good question, I doubt it. I haven't looked at that page for a very long time. Multichill (talk) 19:09, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

Hallo Multichill! Category:Salomé refers to Salomé, Nord (commune in the Nord department in France), Category:Salome refers to Salome (daughter of Herodias). Wikidata Infobox and most of the Interwiki-Links are wrong! --GFreihalter (talk) 18:44, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

@GFreihalter: why did you leave this message here? Are you struggling to get it fixed or do you think I added the incorrect link? I think [2] and [3] should fix it. Multichill (talk) 19:07, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

Category discussion warning

Clones has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

Akoopal (talk) 07:48, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

Multichill (talk) 16:18, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
Hoi Maarten, dank je. Probleem is dat ik met dit soort dingen weinig ervaring heb, vooral kwa opmaak enzo, maar ik kan wel eens wat proberen te testen. Akoopal (talk) 08:58, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

speedy

Hello, I was sure it is a reason for speedy, because I took a look into Special:WhatLinksHere/File:US_Navy_090326-N-9988F-002_Aviation_Boatswain's_Mate_(Handling)_2nd_Class_Jack_Terry_signals_a_pilot_from_the_.jpg. Is it not applicable for checking across projects? --Keks by 16:35, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

No, it's not. That will just show Commons, and Special:GlobalUsage/File:US_Navy_090326-N-9988F-002_Aviation_Boatswain's_Mate_(Handling)_2nd_Class_Jack_Terry_signals_a_pilot_from_the_.jpg will only show Wikimedia usage. Any usage of outside of the Wikimedia wiki's is invisible to us. And with InstantCommons enabled by default, that's probably quite a lot. Multichill (talk) 16:39, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for clarifying :) Have a nice day from the --Keks by 16:49, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

iNaturalist

Hello Multichill, I remember that you talked in the VP about uploading free content from iNaturalist. I wonder if you can upload with a BOT all the images made by this person even the one whose ID has not been confirmed by an other user. This user is a passionate of marine animals and his knowledge is certain, therefore the identification given are for the most part very very certainly good, I looked to several images and have searched images of the same said species in scientific publications, and each times the identification was credible. Plus the fact that there is in this account a signifiant number of images of specimen images that we still don't have here. I have uploaded a few images and I plan to upload much more, and if it could be done by a BOT then it would be an incredible time saving for me. The purpose will be to upload the all the images at least in a category in the kind Category:Images by predomalpha to check, and I will sort the images with categories for the species and for the places (when relevant), and I will delete or nominate for deletion the images that have a poor quality and/or a poor identification. Possible? Christian Ferrer (talk) 11:36, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
