You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

By the way, i have created Category:Gala incorporated where you can put all your images, by just adding the [[Category:Gala incorporated]] code at the bottom of the file's page or when you upload the image.

I added the template {{Trademarked}} on the two logos, and changed File:Gala Group Logo.png licence into {{PD-textlogo}}, as it seems more appropriate. Do you agree ?

Please, be sure to include File:Business gPotato logo.jpeg in your permission mail. Also, are you really sure you really want to release it with a free licence (you'll keep the Trademark protection though) ?

Hi--Lilyu! Thank you for making that category! As you can probably tell, I am new to Wikipedia and Wikimedia. I have been writing an article on Wikipedia [[1]] and just started getting into learning how to do images correctly on Wikimedia. I'm still learning! I just get confused with the permissions thing because I work for Gala (under CEO Mr. Kikugawa) and am in charge of the gPotato gaming brand and Gala corporate brand. So, I do have permission to use them, I am in charge of them! It is just I forgot to inform Wikimedia about it as each image was quickly flagged! I sent an email to permissions-commons(at)wikimedia.org so I hope that takes care of everything. Thanks for your feedback, advice and hard work on Wikimedia! As you can probably tell, I am relatively new to Wikimedia and I am still learning the rules so I can follow them perfectly. Thanks for your help, advice and hard work keeping Wikimedia strong!
