User talk:Mscappetta
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

File:The Scuzzies 1965-1.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Thanks for uploading File:The Scuzzies 1965-1.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

- Please remember you are only able to issue a usage license if you made the photo. If it's just in your collection then you can't relicense it for others. If it was a publicity photo you have to provide evidence it was published without copyright notice. --Denniss (talk) 16:38, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Mscappetta. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Mscappetta~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

Your undeletion request[edit]
[1] I have closed this because there appear to be no active deletion requests. I think you may have seen the notice above about user renaming, and then saw the old requests above and did not notice that they were old. Those stay on your Talk page, like, forever.
When you post a request, please log in, if you can, and then sign your request with four tildes. like this:
--~~~~
I recommend that you read the user rename notice carefully. You should, if you can, act to link your Wikipedia account with this one, or they will become separate accounts, which could be a nuisance. If you have lost your password, you should be able to recover it if you are receiving email. I will watch this, your user talk page here, and if you have questions, you may ask them here, I should see them, or you may email me through the interface here, if you can log in.
Sorry about your sister. Life is precious. --Abd (talk) 22:51, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, I really appreciate you correcting me by pointing out the fact that I assumed those old notices were new ones, not realizing everything remains on my talk page and new messages are tacked-on at the bottom. I read the user rename notice and I'm not sure how to proceed with linking my Wikipedia account with this one. I'm sure I will need some guidance from someone with that type of experience with Wikipedia. Any guidance would be a great help to me. I do appreciate that you're monitoring my talk page and communicating with me. And thank you, too, for expressing your sympathy for my sister, Suzie. You are so right that "Life is precious". --Mscappetta (talk) 01:57, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yes. Life. I'm 70 and have seven children, and one of them is a 13-year old girl who lives with me. She decided to buy rats a bit over a year ago, she ended up with five of them, beautiful creatures. Then one got sick, and went blind. She was distraught, but she arranged for vet care, paying the costs, and took care of him. Then two of them died, rather quickly and mysteriously. She was, again, distraught and angry with life. How could it suck so much? But she still has three rats, and now she treasures them. Rats only live roughly two years at best, it gets rare for them to live longer. When one seems to be sick, she gets upset and I remind her that they need her to be calm, like a loving parent, and that her time with them is precious. They are beautiful, intelligent, sweet mammals who respond to care with what sure looks like love. The blind rat is fine. Just blind, and she needs to put saline in his eyes twice a day, so they don't dry out. He is totally trusting, and will sit with us for hours, just wanting to be close.
- Looking at CentralAuth, [2], your accounts are all attached, and there is no other account called Mscappetta, as far as I can see. (there are only two accounts with edits, here and en.wikipedia. The others may have been automatically added, the software does that.)
- Click on the Preferences tab at the top of your screen. Under Basic information, you may see some information about linking accounts. You will probably click on "Manage your global account." You may see some instructions for linking your accounts, there. Follow them. The accounts are already linked, so I'm puzzled. But see what you find. Let me know what you find. --Abd (talk) 03:43, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
