You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). File:Oc57-52.tif has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Speedy deletion of two files[edit]
Hello.
I have nominated the above files for deletion because the permission submitted to <permissions-commons@wikimedia.org> was insufficient for our needs (see Commons:Licensing) and there was no response. If User:Msalvesen is Magda Salvesen of the John Schueler Estate, then please respond to the email from permissions-commons and kindly verify that (a) you are the operator of this account and (b) agree to CC-BY-SA-4.0 for the images, and not just for a Wikimedia Commons-only permission. You can find the text of the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license and all the conditions you would need to agree to at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/deed.en. Please do not take this personally, we need to ensure we are respecting the rights of copyright holders and also ensuring that nobody is misrepresented or impersonated when contributing their works to Commons. This has occurred in the past. Have a greet weekend and cheers. seb26 (talk) 15:42, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
- Also, if you do respond, I will happily arrange for these files to be restored, however, in the meantime given the doubt I cannot permit them to remain hosted here. Cheers, seb26 (talk) 15:44, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
Hi Seb. Yes we would like the file to be restored, I uploaded it to the Jon Schueler entry. So if I understand correctly, Magda needs to read the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license and send you back a message that she agrees and then they will be reposted? Or does she need to fill out another form and sent it back to Arthur at permissions? Your help is appreciated! HeatherBlack (talk) 19:16, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
- PS: I've asked Magda to reply to the permissions email and send me a copy of what transpires. I will then ask you to restore them, but please be patient. No need to reply to questions above. Thanks again for your help. HeatherBlack (talk) 13:07, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hello again. Magda has just sent the permissions to both you and Arthur. If there is anything else needed, please let me know. Thanks again. HeatherBlack (talk) 19:21, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
