Hello. First, thanks for warning me. Then please excuse me for my poor english. About this image, in fact I've found it on the english Wikipedia, here. It was apparently licensed under GFDL so I thought I could upload it on commons just like I've already done several times. I used to use this tool to make the upload easier and automatically, there has't been any problem with specifiing the author or other things before. Would you know how I may correct it? Thank you. this is answer to my question:

Yes, you should donate the images to have them stay here. But by doing so, you should consider that anyone will have the right to use the images, not only you. --User:G.dallorto 15:32, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Regarding talk pages, archiving etc

People are allowed to delete warnings from their own user talk page if they really like. I've done this a few times and there is no policy on this at all. Archiving it is a good idea, but it's not mandatory. So I'd suggest not reverting people on that anymore. :) Lewis Collard! (hai thar, wut u doin) 06:01, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

BTW, since you asked the proper way to do it is to use the "Move" function. But I wouldn't concern yourself too much. Lewis Collard! (hai thar, wut u doin) 06:08, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Adeyto pictures licensing

Hi there. You marked all the pictures I uploaded as "copyright violation" which makes me really laugh because if I, the artist, owner and creator of those images can's decide if I license them free, than who can? Isn't it enough to license the images as GFDL? What's the point? Is it necessary to make the images "public domain"? By the way, I already emailed the declaration of consent to the permissions-commons....this said, wikipedia can really be a headache... ARA Laboratories 17:53, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Commons are not right place to store those pictures, you must store them to local wikipedias where are the articles also--Motopark 18:01, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Please re-read the above comment closer: the images are hers, and she is licensing them under GFDL, which is free. There is just a lack of proper confirmation that she is the author, which will hopefully be solved soon. --AVRS 18:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
well, I was automatically redirected by Wikipedia itself to Commons, when I uploaded the very first picture. And it looked like Commons is the place where the pictures belong! In order to let the pictures in Commons, do I need to change the license to "public domain"? If so, I don't mind doing it...and I'll uploade future pictures to the local wikipedias then. ARA Laboratories 18:09, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

There has been some mistake.

Tagging non commons content

Hi - thanks for picking up some pages that are out of project scope. In general any mainspace page without images or other media content may be tagged for speedy deletion rather than as a licensing issues. Equally a message on the creators page using Project scope can be used to inform them. Thanks a lot for the work, regards --Herby talk thyme 08:19, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Brenda Song images

Excuse me i do not know why my images are up for speedy deletion when know one even reviewed my work. Can you please tell me what i have done and why is my image up for speedy deletion when know one was bothered to first review my flick'r page and work to decide either the image is my work and is not against wikipedia copyright issues.Thank you.FrogMiller 15:39, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

And if that is true then howcome all of the images posted on flick'r that are used in wikipedia pages like Image:Miley Cyrus.jpg have @all right reserved and i knwo that you may not know this but that means that the flick'r user has all rights reserved and you can not have it as a candidate for speedy deletion withput reviewing my work and then deciding if it should be deleted. If that is true then post wikipedia common pictures should be deleted including Image:Miley Cyrus.jpg althpugh it has been reviewed.Flick'r does not say all right reserved of you were a user you would know that becuase the other choices are some right reserved to the user and no right reseved to the user.So i suggest that you review my pages and then decide that and i suggest that you stop picking on Brenda Song images and start looking at otehr pages from flick'r that you suppodely claim (flicker says all rights reserved) but it seems like you are letting soem images pass and the Brenda Song images all get deleted without even beig reviewed and i have noticed that emily osment's page has the same thing like miley cyrus's page and raven symone which has a source link that doesnt even show the image or claim anything.Thank You.FrogMiller 15:54 11 March 2008 (UTC)

reason are flicker says all rights reserved, no flicker status checking in history--Motopark 15:31, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

OK - however, I own the original art from Mikee. If necessary I can remove the text that says that is a CD cover.

I came across the image Nirvana album cover.jpg which you tagged with speedy delete because of "fair use" when the image's contents are not eligible for copyright under US copyright law. See en:WP:PD#Fonts. The image was up for deletion, but was kept. Because of the debatability of the image's copyright status, I've removed the speedy tag. You may re-list the image for deletion, however. (Read: This is not an obvious copyright violation). Cheers, Cavenbatalk to me 02:10, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Def FX album cover images

Why were these images deleted? I uploaded them so the wikipedia discography could be complete, so how are the circumstances different? Looking at the page again 2, I can see that two of the images were released by different publishers compared with extant and apparently allowed images. But the cover for Surge EP was also published by Phantom records, so surely if they have released images for all their other Def FX releases then they would have for this one too?

Also: Does it make any difference that the scans were of personal, autographed copies? They were in faint gold ink in the scans, just visible.

Cheers!

Please read instructions why place of cover pages are not in Commons Commons:Image casebook#Album covers. Please store your album cover to local wikipedia because different countries will have different laws and local wikipedias will have different rules. --Motopark ( ) 14:31, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi Motopark. I'm writing you, about the image above, because you ask for some kind of statement from the author. That's not right. As it was said in the licence, the picture is in the public domain 25 years after its publication. That's PD-AR.Photo rule. So, what kind of author's agreement are you asking for? When the 25 years passed, automatically the image is in the public domain; the picture was published on 1962, so it is in the public domain since 1987. In the same way, for example for a book, you don't need any agreement of the author's descendants, when 70 years passed from the death of the author. Can you show me what is the rule you are calling here? Kind regards, --Roblespepe (talk) 00:44, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Drop Trio album covers

The album covers for the Drop Trio albums were designed, created and published by ME. I own the rights to that artwork both as the visual artist and because when these albums were released I was also the bassist / songwriter in the band and have full rights to the music contained in the albums as well.

I therefore have the right to do what I please with the artwork, as it is my original work. Further, the band is in full agreement of using my artwork at will.

About images.

Sorry for the copyrighted picture, I didn't see it on the bottom of the site. What if the site is a free blog, and doesn't contain that 'copyright' bit on the bottom? I found a site like that, seems free to use a picture, but I want to take pre-cautions before jumping the gun and uploading. Should I just upload it anyways with the source and such so you guys can look into it? Thanks for any help.

Hello, Motopark!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Standertskjold.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Hei! Kannattaa käyttää päivämäärän merkitsemisessä kansainvälistä ISO 8601 -standardin mukaista VVVV-KK-PP-muotoa. (Esim. 20.6.2009 merkitään 2009-06-20.) Regarding Scodanibbio images

Dear Motopark, today I have uploaded six images (one was a mistake: Reily and Scodanibbio.jpg) under permission from the holder of its rights Stefano Scodanibbio himself. I have wrote the article about him and in the same time was writing him, asking for permission to upload the selected images: Sanguineti and Scodanibbio at Monte Conero in 2006.jpg; Riley and Scodanibbio 2006.jpg; Cage and Scodanibbio at Florence in 1992..jpg; Rodrigo Garcia and Stefano Scodanibbio.jpg; Nono & Scodanibbio, Freiburg, 1983.jpg and Stefano Scodanibbio Forli 2007 (1).jpg. The permission was imediatly given in his fist answer, and confirmed in the second, after I clarified the Wikimedia Commons terms.

I have selected the licence that seamed to be the right one regarding Stefanos's permission for the use of his images, but there is the possibility that I did something wrong in the selection of the licence type. I admit that I 'm not used to doing this and may have done something wrong, but the permission for FULL USE is by NO DOUBT given. I have sent an email to OTRS with the transcription of our conversation (except some personal remarks) so that you can see the licence to use these images in Wikimedia Commons was given. I here show you the mail again:

I have wrote to Stefano Scodanibbio, who is the holder of these images rights, asking for permission to use in the portuguese Wikipedia article under the same name: (http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefano_Scodanibbio) The permission was granted by him in his answering emails, a conversation which I will fully transpose here.

Follow up message Dear Stefano,

I'm writing in English because it's easier for me to express myself fully without unnecessary delays visiting the dictionary. Actualy I'm portuguese, as you may have noticed by my name, and I have a reasonable degree of understanding of italiano, in answering me you may write in your native language. The reason I'm writing is due to my most reacent article in the portugese Wikipedia about you. I have writen the article but wanted to ad some images of yourself so I could publish it in colors (it's not yet published, it's still in code on my computer). I based my investigation in your webpage and found there some interesting images of you alone and with some other great composers. If you fell curious about me you may look into this article so you know what my style is: http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peridéxion

I'm here to ask your permission to use some of these images published in you website. Which of them (the ones with others) can I use? And, if you fell favorable to an article in Wikipedia with your image, I also wanted to ask if you could point me to some recent photographs of you in concert that I could use.

If you accept this and give me permission to use your image in this Wikipedia article (your image isn't in any database related to Wikipedia), I will need some proof that the use of the images was permited. If I can't prove your permission, if you may give it, the images will be taken out of the database. I guess an email from your website allowing me to use your images should be sufficient.

Thank you in advance

Sara "

Follow up message Dear Stefano,

In order to use the photographs of your self and fellow composers in Wikipedia, it's needed, acording to the policies of Wikimedia, that the rights of these pictures are fully given. This is because the pictures uploaded in Wikimedia Commons are available for any one to use and change. Of corse no one changes pictures unless it's needed or may improve the picture, like the blurring of an offensive area (censorship) and retouching. Any picture that is harmfully altered will eventually be erased and most alterations are fully discussed within the community. Never the less, for a picture to be uploaded there are some points that the uploader has to be able to accept, as you can read in the uploading forms:

"All users of files found on Wikimedia Commons must be given the Four Freedoms:

 1. The freedom to use and perform the work.
 2. The freedom to study the work and apply the information.
 3. The freedom to redistribute copies.
 4. The freedom to create and distribute derivative works.

Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. In addition, claims of fair use are explicitly NOT and will NEVER be permitted on Commons. Please only upload files that either:

 * are in the public domain in the source country (author died more than 70 years ago) and in the U.S., or that
 * are explicitly covered by a license which grants the Four Freedoms."

(...)

Do you agree?

Help with logos

Hi, I've notice that you kind of have an eye for the trademarked logos. Since I've already uploaded over 500 golf photographs and I think majority of them depicts some kind of trademarked logotypes (just to mention Solheim Cup logos on the players caps, sponsors logos on clothing items, sport equipment, etc) I'd like to ask you for help with tagging those which require speedy removal. They can be found under this category: Category:LPGA photos taken by Wojciech Migda. I'd like to also make sure if I should bother uploading the remaining ones - I guess I'm not halfway there. There are also numerous photographs by Keith Allison, which me and other wikipedians have transfered from flickr (Category:Photos_taken_by_Keith_Allison) - it seems that they need instant review as well. I'll start tagging them asap when I find some spare time. Thanks, Wmigda (talk) 18:00, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

File:Leifwager.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Out of scope

Hi, first of all thanks for you work marking copyright violation and other problematic images. I have noticed you marked many images uploaded by User:Philip Fikry for speedy deletion with the reason "out of scope". Indeed those images are rather unusable and looks like humoristic interpretation or actual persons, but "out of scope" in not a reason for speedy unless image was uploaded with clear vandalism intentions. In some rare cases after normal deletion discussion "out of scope" image are kept, simply because new facts or possible usage can be found. Hello. Hey I saw that you removed my album art image for 'Victims of Circumstance'. EarthAngels.jpg

Hello Motopark, how are you. Sorry to disturb, but i have just received your warning message about the licensing of this picture. Christian Carrasco, the owner, has licenced it and as far as i know nobody else can edit it but tag it. Underneath the picture it reads "publicado bajo licencia Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0". Christian Carrasco is one of the members of the band. Thanks for your time, greetings. rafax (talk) 18:49, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

sourcelink don't work, please correct it. Nut if picture are stored to Facebook, facebook owns the picture--Motopark (talk) 18:52, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
oops, i didnt know about facebook's claiming rights, sorry about that. I'll see what can be done about it, im sure that christian does not know either, i'll email him so they can reconsider uploading more. I dont think its worth fixing the link now, what a shame, i should have known about it 'cos i have uploaded a few of mine as well. Thank you very much indeed, this is very upsetting. Cheers. rafax (talk) 20:19, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Oh my, how silly, because the band main page is opened, i got confused with being friends with one of the members, so thats why nobody else can access the pics, i have a mail though 'cos the poor man licensed all the pics he had, so i think i better use OTRS. I have read fb's privacy policy and it say that the uploader is the owner of the material as long as he has the rights. Thanks again, i'll fix it soon. Cheers. rafax (talk) 21:57, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello again, sorry to disturb, i'm being a pain. Because i dont want to disturb the owner of the pics and theres more i want to upload of this band and because the pics are licenced by him sharealike, i thought in sharing this one with my account which is wide opened and you'd get to see the license tab and the name of the owner. The only thing wrong is that you'd need a facebook account as well to check it and i dont know if it could be possible to do it this way. Thanks for your patience, you're doing a great job. rafax (talk) 11:25, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
OTRS-permission will sove this problem----
The only thing wrong is that by OTRS you still dont get to see the license tab, the owner and the pics if you dont have a facebook account and the owner does not seem to be interested, wants or does not know how to upload them, its me who's doing the job, and by not being able to check does not mean they are not free to use. The only thing needed is that someone with a fb account checks the license. Another issue is that i dont think that the man will be interested in applying the same permission for his whole account as the OTRS template suggests. Also, i've seen you've edited the pic adding that in face book would be read the copyright symbol, but their privacy policy explains that the rights are granted to the owner of the material uploaded, so the copyright symbol would only apply for the rights of the facebook project. Please, go and check about facebook's privacy policy to avoid this. Sorry for the mess, thank you very much indeed once more. rafax (talk) 14:35, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
In the end i talked to lobo and added him to my facebook account and shared the pic with him, but we never thought that being christian pics he is obviously the only one allowed to share with others. I have mailed christian with the links and explanations to OTRS so i hope he'll be sending the permission mail soon. I also asked him to move and license the pics in the band's main page which is opened to whoever that has a fb account in case OTRS dont work or doesn't want to release the whole album. Sorry about all the mess, my fault. Did you check about facebook's author rights policy? rafax (talk) 20:08, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Question about pictures

I got a message saying that the picture I uploaded was violating copyright. I followed the steps to upload it from Wikipedia since that's where the image is. And by the way, it is impossible to add an image since if you don't know the procedure it's really really difficult to follow all those steps. I tried many times and this is the only one I could upload. When using other files' articles to translate actors, the image can be used. But that doesn't work with the movies. Is there a way? Thanks for this info.

Durian - Sintel Paintover == Copyright violation?

Hi Motopark, why did you marked my upload ( http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Durian_-_Final_WIP_paintover.jpeg ) as copyright violation? As you can read on the picture it's "Creative Commons Attribution 3.0". And as you can read in the licensing description this means it's free to share. So, where is the problem? Greetings -- Jan Sende (talk) 08:55, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

It was watermarked, and watermark shall be removed--Motopark (talk) 09:20, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
I can't remove the watermark, because the uploaded file is the original. --Jan Sende (talk) 22:20, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Re:File Tagging File:Bono as The Fly Cleveland 1992.jpg

I've emailed the author's permission to use the image on Wikimedia projects (CC-BY-SA-3.0) to the OTRS desk. Can I remove the tag that you added to the image yet? Y2kcrazyjoker4 (talk) 20:36, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Please wait that some OTRS-person add permission to picture, it can take some time.--Motopark (talk) 00:28, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Sorry for my English, but according to the license I choosed, I am the author and I agree with her. It's like if you told me of the following images the author does not authorize its use, or that the architect does not authorize the use of the image of his work, etc. On the other hand this indicates that the article (paragraph)-not as they say in legal English - the Proclamation (law) of Good Government.

This logo is a text logo. From this link "it is not possible to copyright a new version of a textile design merely because the colors of red and blue appearing in the design have been replaced by green and yellow, respectively. The same is true of a simple combination of a few standard symbols such as a circle, a star, and a triangle, with minor linear or spatial variations." Please see the microsoft logo, or Best Western logo for more details.

Hello Motopark,

This image was scanned from the cover of an album released in Argentina in 1976 (See). Photographs taken over 25 years and published for at least 20 are automatically in the public domain, regardless of who was its author, so I think the tag you added is not correct.

I am the author of the book "Géa" and of the image for the cover of the same book. I received an e-mail from you few minutes ago, where the image "File:Capa livro primeiro 50 p cento.JPG" was said as proposed for rapid deletion.

I explained in the PageTalk of that image that I have sent an e-mail to Wikimedia Commons, authorizing the publication of such image with no restrictions, public domain.

I have also followed the instructions to avoid the delection of that image, instructions which were in the rose rectangle in the image page and erased that rectangle.

Dear Motopark: thank you for the instruction for ask help to COM:ON. But I already have gone to COM:ON and asked for help - please enter COM:ON to see my asking for help, which I will not reproduce here to avoid excess of text in your talk page. Is there, please, anything else which I have to do to avoid the deletion of the cover's image of the book "Géa"?Cláudio César Dias Baptista (talk) 19:32, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Please wait some days, some will answer to you--Motopark (talk) 19:36, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for the answering. I will wait some days. Please read the new topic, below. Cláudio César Dias Baptista (talk) 20:14, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Here is the AUTHORIZATION in the site where the book "Géa" is published

Dear Motopark: here is the URL where, in the top of the page, you may see a rectangle inside of which there is my authorization for publishing all the images present in the books of my authorship, including covers, if mentioned the source, the same site: http://www.ccdb.gea.nom.br/english_pages.htm

Please, do not erase the image of the cover of the book "Géa" and, please, remove any rectangles where are the allerts for deletion of that image.

I fully understand that the procedures you are taking to avoid unauthorized publications are correct and I thank you very much and also to Wikimedia Commons for these procedures. Cláudio César Dias Baptista (talk) 20:19, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi, please don't nominate for speedy deletion if PD-textlogo applies - Jcb (talk) 11:54, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

File: Clio Faces

I don't know what you showed me, that does not mean that it is subject to any copyright of an image, and does not constitute proof that I have violated. I can only tell you that the company that produced the disc, which is not the one you set as link, failed in 1990, so gone are the twenty years under italian law: that's why the use may be now license free. This does not mean that it is a reconstruction with my pixelart. Please inform next time, before flag a copyright violation. Heftiorus 09:12, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi, once again, please don't nominate for speedy deletion if PD-textlogo clearly applies. Jcb (talk) 10:07, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi, again you nominated a logo for speedy deletion while it's clearly too simple to be eligible for copyright. You must stop that. You seem to be just ignoring my comments at your user talk page. Further inappropriate nominations may lead to further actions. Jcb (talk) 10:20, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

I'm not ignoring your comments, in some bordercases I see logo different than you, that's why in those cases our opinions differs because we don't have enough clear border in logo's.--Motopark (talk) 11:53, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Patroller rights

Hi Motopark. I've just granted you patroller rights so you can (literally) patrol edits and new pages. Please don't mark new pages for "patrolled" when you've added a Speedydelete template on it. I know that's policy at most other wikis, but here most admins patrol Special:Newpages, so it's better if it stays unpatrolled. Kind regards, Trijnstel (talk) 17:44, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for info, I'll try to study first--Motopark (talk) 17:51, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi, you are wasting our time with wrong nominations like this, three administrators were busy with it this time. I think I told you sufficient times not to nominate for speedy deletion if PD-textlogo clearly applies. This case is that obvious that there is no space for a different opinion. Jcb (talk) 19:17, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

Hey thanks for the quick reply. Mot too familiar with procedure - do you mean I should send an email to square enix asking them for specific permission? and if so, should I do the same with every image I want to upload? Thanks for the help man(I assume)! PerfectGentleman (talk) 18:55, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

New Page Patrol

A suggestion: Several Admins regularly go through new gallery pages

http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ANewPages&namespace=0&tagfilter=&username=&hidepatrolled=1

so that a new page is almost always seen by an Admin within a few minutes of creation, and never more than a few hours. Most of them are deleted on sight as out of scope. While your looking at new pages and marking them as Speedy where appropriate is certainly not bad, it duplicates work that Turelio, Herby, I, and a few others are doing anyway. You might like to find a better thing do to with your Commons time.

Or, with your numbers and time on Commons, I think you could easily become an Admin and do New Page Patrol with the delete button ready to go.      Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 15:34, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

Best way to solve this are: When new user will create new callery or page, he / she must create a request and some admin or auto comfirmed user creates this page if it are valid. Can we do a midification to system.--Motopark (talk) 15:43, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
I don't see any real problem with the current system. We're talking about pages that are created by users who do not have auto-patrol. If almost all of them were good, then it would certainly save Admin time if someone else could approve their creation. But the fact is that 90% are out of scope or other mistakes. Approving a good one takes two clicks. Deleting a bad one takes three clicks, unless I have to write a special reason for deletion, which is rare. So it goes just as fast as an uncontested DR. Having some sort of advance approval would still mean that we would have to delete the bad ones.      Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 16:08, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
I would like to focus on Jim's comment about adminship. I have been working in other areas here and see that you have been marking work needing further attention by an admin, and I am not disagreeing with your point of view. How about you let me nominate you for admin so that you can just deal with the issue as it occurs, and it looks as Jim may concur. Many hands make light work.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:07, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
No thanks, I'g like my role in Commons--Motopark (talk) 12:19, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
To note: So do I, and I am not looking to change your role, I am just wishing to give you access to tools to more efficiently do what you are doing. Note that adminship is not about joining the politics, I haven't. To me it is quietly toiling away in an area of comfort. Mine is mopping. :-)  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:59, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

--Marco Del Torchio 95 (talk) 17:44, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Licensing

I'm curious about image licensing, which I think I did not entirely understood. I've uploaded several images which now have a warning saying that they could be deleted. I just copied the license from other similar images, so I understand that some of them may be wrong. I think that there may be some kind of trouble with photos (I uploaded some), but there shouldn't be with posters, like the ones used in electoral propaganda, should be? I did read the proper articles regarding licensing and the such, but I still don't fully understand the use of it on the wikipedia. Impru20 (talk) 22:35, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

I don't anyt information from source about licensing, please put in the pictures page link to licence in sourcepage if it's available--Motopark (talk) 02:21, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Since I can't find a better license for them right now, please delete them. I'll use modified versions of the previous images for the election articles, though it's a pity I can't find a proper license for electoral posters (mostly because electoral posters and propaganda are meant to be freely distributed once released to the public). I hope we'll be able to use them someday, though. Impru20 (talk) 11:25, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
They will deleted after 7 days--Motopark (talk) 12:36, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

A quick question: I saw some interesting images in Flickr that could replace the images that I initially uploaded and that ended up removed. Since I saw several images uploaded whose license gives the understanding that these are allowed because they are from there, my question is: Are images from Flickr allowed to be uploaded? Thank you. I'm Not Violating Anyones Copyrights With "MY" Images

Please remove the tag accusing me of copyright violations. First off the site you referenced doesn't own the image nor does its parent company. Here is a copy of the information I added to the file description:

The Venom picture was originally created and copy-written for Marvel Comics. There is a public license agreement stating that as long as the image is "NOT" being used for business advertising to get or potentially get monetary gain it can be recreated for personal non-profit use. The link going to a "copy" of the original picture is on a site called MyComicNetwork.com which is owned by a company named SoEntertain.Me (Copyright MyComicNetwork.com - Daily Comic News. Copyright SoEntertain.Me. All Rights Reserved.)

The Owner and CEO of SoEntertain.Me is Paul Keller. He can be contacted by e-mailing him to this address;

p.keller@soentertain.me

He will verify they do not own or hold copyrights to my image or the original created for Marvel Comics. Please always remember when a version of an image is hosted somewhere that doesn't mean the site or its parent company owns it.

Zeddicus Zorander 88

So again I ask you to remove the tags you placed on my images in error.

"Zeddicus Zorander 88"

The file 11 uses photo 12 That photo is licensed as free license by http://bossy-girls.net/Free-License.html The photo show the URL of that website. Therefore this photo is licensed as free for the purpose deginated at the wiki pages. Therefore neither the file nor its photo should be deleted. They should be included in the Category:femdom

Hello Motopark, thanks for checking our uploads for copyvios. The image seems to be from: http://hetf.blogspot.com/2011/12/ndidi-o-tamanoir-9-decembre-2011.html

All the content on that page is marked as: Pour entrer en contact avec nous, vous pouvez utiliser les formulaires de commentaire des articles. Sauf mention contraire, le contenu de ce blog est sous contrat Creative Commons.

So I will remove the tag and change the license and put a link to that page.
