Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Nominating redirects for deletion

Dear Metrophil44,

Please don't nominate redirects for deletion just because you believe they are redundant. Especially when the file has been around for years. The redirect can be used via instantcommons, via an edit summary or via a link at another project. Plus it creates extra and unneeded admin workload. I declined your speedy nominations. Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

@Nenntmichruhigip: Ich weiß wie kategorisieren funktioniert und dass man das schnell machen sollte. (In meinen Beiträgen siehst du, dass ich in letzter Zeit viel bei der Straßenbahn Düsseldorf herumkategorisiert habe) Allerdings hatte gestern Abend nach dem Upload (vom Handy aus!) wenig Zeit weiterzukategorisieren, da mein Zug kam LG -- Metrophil44 (talk) 13:32, 14 March 2016 (UTC)

Du erhältst diese Nachricht, weil du bei Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 teilgenommen hast.

Auch in diesem Jahr beteiligt sich Deutschland wieder am internationalen Fotowettbewerb rund um Bau- und Kulturdenkmale. Bisher wurden bereits mehr als 18.000 Bilder hochgeladen – und wir würden uns sehr über weitere Bilder von Dir freuen. Noch bis zum 30. September 2016 kannst Du Deine Bilder hochladen. Alles Wissenswerte erfährst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Außerdem möchten wir Dich einladen, ab 12. September 2016 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese sichtet und bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in Deutschland.

RNV-Netz

Your VFC installation method is deprecated

Hello Metrophil, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Tramnet Gent.png

Dear Metrophil, thanks for the nice update and re-drawing of my 'Ghent tram network'! Just two things: there are no NMBS train stations at 'Gentbrugge Moscou' (line 4) and 'P+R Gentbrugge' (line 2). There is a NMBS train station (called: 'Station Gentbrugge') near the depot of Gentbrugge ('stelplaats Gentbrugge'), but there is no direct connection at all between the tram and the train stop. @Steven57: bedankt voor de lof van mijn kaart! Wat de NMBS stations betreft: Openstreetmap zegt dat er een NMBS station is nabij Gentbrugge Moscou, met de naam Gentbrugge Perron C.W., maar nu zie ik ook op Google dat dit station is gesloten. En ik dacht dat Gentbrugge dichterbij de tramhalte was. In ieder geval, bedankt voor de melding van deze twee foutjes, ik heb ze nu gecorrigeerd. Wien Update

Servus, danke erstmal für den schönen Netzplan von der Wiener Straßenbahn ;) Ich wollte nur darauf hinweisen, dass sich am 2. September einiges ändert (längere U1, kürzere 67, 2 und 44 im Westen getauscht, 10 und 60 verlängert, 58 gestrichen, viele neue Haltestellennamen). Croydon Tramlink map

Hello. I have a suggestion regarding File:Tramlink map 2017.png, is there any way you could make an additional map that overlays a geographic map, like File:Map of Manchester Metrolink.png or File:Map Midland Metro.png? --MetrolandNW (talk) 12:55, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Yes, that's what I was looking for! I wanted to use a map like this for the Tramlink Wikipedia article. But File:Tramlink geographical.png is a bit off and not that clear. I would love if you could modify that map to remove the National Rail lines, and make the destination names larger and clearer like it is on File:Map Midland Metro.png. Ich habe soeben einen neuen Netzplan erstellt (direkt zweisprachig, dann brauch sich CellarDoor85 die Mühe nicht machen), werde den noch von einem Sorbischsprecher kontrollieren lassen und dann hochladen und einbinden. Dear Metrophil,

Since july 8, 2022 the Utrecht Tram network has changed:

• Line 60 is replaced by line 20, which runs from Nieuwegein Zuid to P+R Science Park
• Line 61 is replaced by line 21, which runs from IJsselstein Zuid to P+R Science Park
• Line 22 stays as it is.
• The stop Nieuwegein Stadscentrum (where lines 20/21 split) is renamed Nieuwegein City
• The stops CS Centrumzijde en CS Jaarbeursplein do not have a dash but a space after the CS.
• There is a Depot next to the P+R Science Park as well (no services, just stabling of trams)

For information (this does not need to be mapped): No trams run between Utrecht Centraal Centrumzijde and P+R Science Park in late evenings and weekend, which means line 22 doesn't run at all and 20/21 run their old routes, but extended to CS Centrumzijde (the east side of central station)
