Comments  Comment What about a perspective correction? --Ikiwaner 19:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)  Comment Do you think the corrected version on my userpage is better? --Mbdortmund 23:24, 11 April 2008 (UTC) After comparing with the PC version I think this one is better. Cropping

Hallo.

Was sind deine Argumente? --Ikiwaner 19:45, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Ikiwaner,
mfg
Mathias B.

--Ikiwaner 08:13, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

the count at QI CR

I think it is Quality Images Candidate Review, heh. Feel free to add up the count or even move the images around if the time is right -- just put your name on it. There was a vote after I tallied a score and I noticed in the history that you had adjusted the count. The problem for me is that the time stamp for the count is a different day than the last vote which is in that count. In a more real life situation, there could be some problem (perhaps) also because the count that is showing is not the count that I made. I am human, I make mistakes. Software is not human and it makes mistakes but those are usually different kinds of mistakes and there is some consistency with them. At any rate, the reason that I found the difference between the timestamp and the count was that I was looking to see if I had made a mistake with it.

All three of these nomination processes that I watch have problems -- depending on who is cleaning and tallying that is who gets notified or noticed. The bots sometimes make mistakes and award the nominator and not the photographer which to me makes the whole process somewhat void of value. I made a great edit of a mediocore image and totally got skipped in any acknowledgement whatsoever -- the lesson, being nice and respectful to those who came before you doesn't work; at least, I think that is what the lesson has been for me especially over the last almost 5 years.

I try to be the kind of human being that I would like to see the species evolve into; the species instead seems to prefer to move the other way.</waxing philosophical>

btw, do you know any latin? -- carol

Hi Carol,

thank you for your message, I hope I understood everything right, but my English is from the book „Good Pidgin Volume I“ by Franz Beckenbauer. I'm sorry that I caused some problems, but I will try to learn. I did not think about time stamps, when I edited the counter, sorry. Perhaps I should turn into some kind of software, if I understood your proposal, but I have only reduced resources of soft skills.

Concerning your question: I had Latin-lessons at school, but I'm not shure if I can help you, but I can try.

Funny pictures, both, I think, and there where other interesting images from you, but what is the function of this bilboquet?

mfg --Mbdortmund 22:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

A bilboquet is a toy. You hold the grip in one hand and let the ball hung below (string taut). Then, by a move of your wrist you send up the ball and try to put it on the grip (a hole in the ball fits the grip). This bilboquet is mine (it comes from Saint-Cirq-Lapopie) and I play with it sometimes. Sorry for my poor english. I'll try to make a video ! DocteurCosmos 05:50, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
