Hello, I am the Honorary Secretary of the Aesculapian Club and this is the Club logo. It has been in existence for over 100 years. The photograph of the logo was taken by me, so I own the copyright to the phot and the Club owns the copyright to the logo. Markstrachan (talk) 22:33, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry just to add that I and the Club are happy for the photo to be published under a free licence. If I selected the wrong copyright category I apologise and am happy to change it to a more appropriate one. Markstrachan (talk) 22:38, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am the Honorary Secretary of the Aesculapian Club and this is a photo from the front page of the original Club minute book from 1773. The photograph of the book was taken by me, so I own the copyright to the photo and the Club owns the book. Markstrachan (talk) 22:35, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

File:Ealry Members of Aesculapian Club.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Thanks for allowing me to comment. The photograph was taken by me and so I own the copyright of the photo. I am very happy tp make the photograph freely available and to waive my copyright. The photograph is from a page in the original Book of Minutes of the Aesculapian club of Edinburgh. The book is housed in the Library of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and is owned by the Aesculapian Club. The club members gave me permission to take the photograph and add it to Wikipedia Commons. The minute book is 250 years old and dates from 1773.
The photo of the Minute book cover (MinuteBookCover.png) has also be marked for deletion and is again a photo I took and again I am happy to waive my copyright to make this freely available.
My photograph of the club logo (Aesculapean 3.tif) has also been marked for deletion. Again I am happy for my copyright to be waived and for this to be freely available. The Aesculapian Club gave me permission to take the photograph and to make the image available on Wikipedia Commons. The logo has been in existence of over 120 years.
