Proszę o informację czy w tej chwili jest ok? DziękujęMTPL

No, it is not enough. You 1) should provide information about the photographer (name) and the date (year) when this photo was shot, and 2) you have to provide a written permission by the rights holder. The rights holder is primarily the photographer, though in this case the original mother company may have bought the full rights. In the latter case you need to get the permission from the authorized official of the company (legal department). To prepare the permission, go to Commons:Pozwolenia, copy the template text "Pozwolenie na zamieszczenie pliku na wolnej licencji", enter the filename (or complete URL) of the image and the name of the license of choice, and send all this to the person who is authorized to give the permission. He/She should the read it and, if he/she agrees, put his/her name and the date under it and send it back to permissions-pl@wikimedia.org, using an official email account. --Túrelio (talk) 15:13, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'll swap this photo for another photo, which you can found on http://www.chemheritage.org or on History of Mettler-Toledo which one do you prefer?MTPL

Hmm, but isn't the first one identical to the one you have uploaded? Sadly, both are very low resolution. The second is also very small, but looks more "clean". However, what I have written above applies to both photos. --Túrelio (talk) 15:48, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's very, very similar but look is from diferent side. Probably both photos ware taken in this same time. The first one hangs on the our webside Mettler-Toledoand i have permission written by our chairman. Isn't the second public?MTPL

"public" is a term that has no meaning for copyright. The fact that an image is shown on a website does mean you can look at it, but not that you can take it and put it on your own website or even re-distribute it under a free license (as on Commons). You probably know that photographies are protected for 70 years after the death of the photographer in most countries of the world, with some minor differences. Thereafter it becomes "public domain". I would like to know when this photo of Mettler was shot, I assume between 1950 and 1980. Thereby, the photographer can't be dead since >70 years. Therefore you should take the one for which you can provide a credible permission. Probably the webmaster of chemheritage.org doesn't even know whether he has any rights over this photo. --Túrelio (talk) 17:06, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, so I'll contact with our headquarters and I tell them about your requirments. I'll send you soon all documents you need. Thanks for your time.MTPL

Image adjustment[edit]

This is to let you know that I have processed File:ErhardMettler 1.jpg to remove the white border and extend the "tonal range"—so black is black and white is less gray. If you disagree, you can undo this change. Regards - Pointillist (talk) 21:09, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
