demand a legitemate explanations[edit]

Hello M.nelson, i have seen that you decided to make my image files, to be mark as a copywrited, and my question is : do you have any idea what are you doing is valid ?, if it is yes i want you to repair it the file that have been deleted and i will demand a legitemate explanantions, why you do this, and if you are being an irresponsible admin, you can look your own work before try to stalk other works also, you must reflecting your own actions, and be more proactive in contributing a wikipedia and it's subsidaries, don't make this Wikipedia become a totalitarian website. -Meandkancil2020 (talk) 1:13, 13 February 2022 (UTC+7)

Hi Meandkancil2020, I am not an admin and I do not have the power to delete any files. However I believe some of your uploads might be copyright violations so have nominated them for the community (including you) and administrators to decide if they should be deleted. Please look at the messages that I left on your talk page, they contain instructions on how you can provide feedback or permission for the files and possibly have them kept. If any files do become deleted, you can always request undeletion from the administrators at COM:Undeletion requests. -M.nelson (talk) 19:52, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi M.nelson, if it is the case, then you can try to replace it with your own work, if it is the best option, because i will not redo it myself and i will left any article without any image file that actually in the context at all, and i hope you should become a responsible person for this wikipedia and its subsidaries. -Meandkancil2020 (talk) 2:58, 13 February 2022 (UTC+7)
@Meandkancil2020: Photos that you took yourself are very valuable to Wikipedia; I hope you will continue to take photos with your camera, upload them here, and include them in articles. I have tried to only nominate your uploads which aren't your own photography, which were taken from elsewhere on the internet and are possible copyright infringement. Hosting copyright infringements is not fair to the photographers who took the photo, who might not want their photo on Wikipedia, and puts Wikipedia at risk of legal action, so must be deleted. -M.nelson (talk) 20:16, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi M.nelson, alright then, you already explain it with legitemate way, and i'm sorry for my own mistake for not understand enough, about the upload image regulations, because i believe that any article needs a strong credibility and need an image that within the subject on the context, but still you must replace it with your own work, if you belive that the image file is not own work (a clear copyrighted), unless you have no willingnes to do that, also i'm not a wikipedia admin as well, because i'm just a wikipedia contributor who do a constructive contribution that is, by just update some article that already outdated, that needed to be input an information that are on the context, with good credibility (although i do sometimes made a mistake too while i doing this work), so thank you for this pointless chat, peace.-Meandkancil2020 (talk) 3:45, 13 February 2022 (UTC+7)

Liberal debate 2013 photos[edit]

Just responding to the message you left on my talk page - I was at the debate, so I took the photos myself. That's why they're a bit blurry (I wasn't the best photographer). Cheers. Tholden28 (talk) 18:50, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tholden28: Nice, thanks for confirming. They're super useful photos, glad you were able to take and upload them. -M.nelson (talk) 23:48, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please participate here to resolve this? Hekerui (talk) 12:23, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. A larger discussion around URAA is needed as it seems DRs can go in either direction; I'll keep an eye out or work on some kind of proposal. -M.nelson (talk) 09:23, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright images[edit]

Hello , I have deleted the files without copyright information from the Wikipedia pages. Was unsure how to add link of owner but think I know what to do now Betoota44 (talk) 14:47, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for doing so. You can find more information about attribution and licensing at Commons:First steps, and the official policy is at Commons:Licensing. -M.nelson (talk) 18:56, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on UTC.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee
