Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Das Foto Friedrich Germanus Lüdke hat mein Großvater, der 1937 verstorben ist entweder selbst gemacht oder fertigen lassen. Die Vorlage ist mir nicht bekannt. Das Bild findet sich aber auch in: http://www.portraitindex.de/db/apsisa.dll/ete?action=queryDocument/1&index=documents&desc=%22obj%2034012488%22 Allgemeine deutsche Bibliothek. 63.Band, Erstes Stück, 1785, Berlin, bei: Friedrich Nicolai; [HAB: Za 73] Dieses Werk ist wohl eindeutig gemeinfrei. Ich bitte höflich um Hilfe, wenn ich die Beschreibung ergänzen soll. Abschließend habe ich in diesem Zusammenhang noch eine Frage: Aus dem kostenlosen E-book von google books habe ich das Bild von Johann Weinlob bei Wikimedia unter Weinleben_Seidel eingestellt. http://books.google.de/books/about/Martin_Friedrich_Seidels_Bilder_Sammlung.html?id=6w8UAAAAQAAJ&redir_esc=y Ich bin der Auffassung, daß das Werk gemeinfrei ist, habe deshalb auch keine license beantragt. Ich habe jedenfalls stundenlang im Internet gesurft, um herauszubekommen, ob und unter welchen Bedingungen google-books kopiert werden dürfen. Hallo Ludecus, ich habe deinen ellenlangen Text von Commons talk:Licensing, wo er nicht hingehörte, nach Commons:Forum#Lucas_Heinrich_Thering.2C_File:Bild_Thering3.jpg, wo sich vorwiegend deutschsprachige Benutzer tummeln. Dabei habe ich gleichzeitig einige Abschnitte, die doppelt vorhanden waren, gelöscht. --Túrelio (talk) 16:23, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
