Please read the response given to your question at COM:HD#Logo upload. Commons needs some more formal way of verifying the COM:CONSENT of the copyright holder of this logo. What you posted about working for company is insufficient for Commons' purposes. Have someone who is the legal representative the company send a CONSENT email to Commons VRT as explained here. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:21, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Undeclared paid editing on German Wikipedia[edit]

Hi Lorna20min. If you're editing content about your company on any local language Wikipedia (e.g. German Wikipedia), you need to be aware that undisclosed paid editing isn't allowed by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. I'm not familiar with the policies of German Wikipedia, but you should make sure you clearly comply with de:Wikipedia:Bezahltes Schreiben. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:30, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Marchjuly. Thank you for your message. I'm checking with our legal department and with their help I will write an email proving that we are authorised to upload the logo. Best regards Lorena20min (talk) 06:44, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, however, you still will need to comply with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use regarding undeclared paid editing. This has nothing to do with the logo file you're trying to upload to Commons, but it something that could end up getting your account blocked if you don't comply. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:03, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your input, but I don't know what to do. It's incredibly difficult to comply with these Terms of Use, as there are many different pages with explanations and instructions. Many of them are not updated or are confusing. I would like to have one single manual on how to proceed when I want to update the Wikipedia page for the company I work for. Lorena20min (talk) 08:14, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Each language Wikipedia project has its own policies and guidelines as well as its own community of users. There's often lots of similarities between projects, but there are also can be some important differences. So, there's really not one single manual that applies to all the different Wikipedias. I don't understand German at all and don't edit on German Wikipedia; so, I can't really help you out there. Since you've been editing on German Wikipedia, I'm assuming you speak German or at least understand German fairly well. German Wikipedia probably has a help desk where you can ask questions; so, try asking for help there. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:23, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How to find the importend information for editing the German Wikipedia as an Paid Editor are already mentioned under de:Benutzer Diskussion:Lorena20min#Dein Benutzername, especially de:Wikipedia:Bezahltes Schreiben and de:Wikipedia:Benutzerverifizierung. If you want to to edit other language versions of Wikipedia (like the Italian Wikipedia or the French Wikipedia), please be aware that these might have different rules.--Naronnas (talk) 09:50, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
