First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.
Made a mistake?
  • Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
  • Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Consiento publicar dicha obra bajo la licencia libre Creative Commons http://creativecommons.org/licenses. Reconozco que concedo a cualquiera el derecho a usar la imagen en un producto comercial, así como a modificarla de acuerdo a sus necesidades. Soy consciente de que siempre retendré los derechos de autor de mi imagen, así como el derecho a ser reconocido como autor según los términos de la licencia elegida para mi obra. Hola Leonardo, gracias por la buena disposición. Verás, el archivo con el logo del FIT había sido copiado de su página web, más precisamente desde acá. El contenido de las páginas de internet, sus textos, imágenes, dibujos, videos y cualquier contenido que hubiera en ellas están protegidos por derechos de autor por defecto, a menos que, expresamente, se indique lo contrario.
No bastaría señalar que tal o cual página no tiene un aviso de copyright o, como vos mencionás, que a una organización no presentaría objeción por usar una imagen que está en su sitio web; es estrictamente necesario que el administrador de dicha página brinde -mail mediante- autorización para la utilización de su contenido.
Dicha autorización no puede consistir en decir "se autoriza su uso en wikipedia", sino que el contenido debe ser liberado con alguna de las licencias que se utilizan aquí. Te recomiendo que le heches un vistazo a este apartado, donde se explica el procedimiento.
Por lo pronto, voy a pedir la eliminación de esta edición, puesto que las consultas deben hacerse en las páginas de discusión de los usuarios -como bien estás haciendo- o en la de los archivos.
En relación al comentario que hiciste aquí, no es que piense que "no tiene relevancia la izquierda", también había candidatos como López Murphy que, estarás de acuerdo conmigo, no son precisamente de izquierda, y tampoco estaban incluidos en la ficha de elección. Eso es así, sencillamente porque se había colocado en dicha ficha a los candidatos con mayor intención de votos. Ahora mismo está excluido el candidato de extrema derecha Alejandro Biondini, por ejemplo.

Buenas, me gustaría saber por que ha sido borrada esta imagen, que es lo que específicamente está infringiendo... y de ser posible si alguien me puede indicar como subir imágenes de este tipo para no tener problemas.
