If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.

Silesia[edit]

Thanks for contributing to the Silesia page. However, please notice that Silesia should be in the subcategory Regions in Poland. There is no need to put it in the category Regions in Europe, as Poland itself is already in this category. Thanks and best regards.

That is not quite true, as what sometimes wrongly is refered to as "Niederschlesien westliche der lausitzer Neisse" historically is "Lausitz". The western boarder of Silesia is the Bober river. Everything western of this river was until modern times Lausitz and not Silesia. It is true that a very small part of Silesia is in the Czech Repulic, but this part has an own name as Schlesien-Maehren. Besides this, nobody questions that Bavaria is a region in Germany, although most of historical Bavaria (Tirol) is nowadays in Italy and Austria and most of its nowadays northern part (Frankonia) historically has nothing to do with Bavaria. Nevertheless, Bavaria is considered to be a region in Germany and Frankonia a region in Bavaria. The same is true with a lot of regions in Europe and it would bust the category Regions in Europe. So let Silesia be a region in Poland, as it is, and the regions in Poland be regions in Europe and the regions in Europe be regions on our nice planet. Best.

I appreciate your comments. But I would appreciate even more your comments on the subject. There is no need to offend others just because you do no share their views for whatsoever reason.

I appreciate that write to me in Polish. Although I was born in Poland, Silsia, I can not ready your text properly. So please keep writing in English or at least German. Second, have look at how the German Bundeslaender are organized. There is no "Bundesland Bayern", but just "Bayern". And where there a Bundesland and a City have the same name, like Bremen, the Bundesland is "Bremen (state)". So "novice" stick to rules. It is senseless to write after each region Voivod(e)ship, Bundesland, State or whatsoever.
