A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Zjazd KOWzP Radom.jpg, was missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. The file probably has been deleted. If you've got all required information, request undeletion providing this information and the link to the concerned file ([[:File:Zjazd KOWzP Radom.jpg]]).

If you created the content yourself, enter {{Own}} as the source. If you did not add a licensing template, you must add one. You may use, for example, {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} or {{Cc-zero}} to release certain rights to your work.

If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

Hello Konfederat73, the following content you uploaded violates one or more of our policies and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

File:Gazeta Uliczna Kontra.jpg

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works
  • commercial use
  • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions.

And also:

Yours sincerely, Christian Ferrer (talk) 20:00, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • All of the image files of mine you've just deleted were made by me. They represented newspapers of the Polish underground anti-communist movement, issued during the times of the "Solidarity" movement and during the Martial law in Poland. I was one of the authors of those newspapers and all of them were FREE to use, distribute, copy and reproduce, they WERE NOT subject to any and anyone's copyrights. Both physically and intellectually they have always been entirely in the PUBLIC DOMAIN. Those images DO HAVE realistic educational purpose. The newspapers illustrated by those pictures are important historical items in the Polish history of regaining its independence. They were used in infoboxes to illustrate the topics and items described by the corresponding Polish Wikipedia articles. They were deleted by you groundlessly. Please restore them. Thanks for uploading File:Dariusz Sońta.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

Public Domain usage is explicitly permitted on this photo author and owner's page: https://pilsudczycy.radom.pl/index.php/archiwum-kpn/prasa/kontra/47-kontra-nr-11 (see bottom of page)
I've added this URL to the Permission field, hopefully it satisfies your requirements.

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Krzyz Katynski Radom.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

File:Krzyz Katynski Radom.jpg - zdjęcie (jak podano w opisie) stanowi eksponat muzealny Muzeum im. Jacka Malczewskiego w Radomiu, dostępny do publicznego użytku i reprodukcji.
English: this photograph is a public exhibit of the Jacek Malczewski Museum in Radom, Poland. As such it is obviously a public property, allowed for public use and reproduction. It was re-published many times by multiple sources, both internet and newspapers, including (see links above in the Polish text). Each of these sources explicitly mentions that it is a public exhibit of the Jacek Malczewski Museum. I have no idea what else can I do, please don't expect me to go to the Museum and try to force them to send emails to Wikipedia confirming that the photo is their exhibit. Please suggest a more sane solution.

This file may be deleted.
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Mieczyslaw Fader.png, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

File:Mieczyslaw Fader.png - zdjęcie wykonane we latach '20 ubiegłego wieku (100 lat temu), pochodzi z rodzinnego albumu.
(English) This family photograph was taken in early 1920's (100 years ago) and originates from our own family album. I have no idea how could I prove ANY copyrights to this 100-years old family picture that actually never really had any copyrights. I'm afraid this is virtually impossible. What I can do, is to replace this photo with its modified (cropped and re-colored) version as published as public exhibit by the Katyn Massacre Museum (part of the Polish Army Museum), to where it went as a gift from our family: http://www.muzeumkatynskie.pl/pl/34399/11387/fotografia_mieczyslaw_fader_w_mundurze_st_przod_pp_mk_438_im.html Please kindly let me know if such a public exhibit of a well known museuum meets your criteria.Konfederat73 (talk) 14:01, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
