Hello Klein Muçi.

You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful.

This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions.

Warning sign
This media was probably deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Harry Potter dhe Guri Filozofal - Afishe.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Harry Potter dhe Guri Filozofal - Afishe.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Ronhjones  (Talk) 13:55, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Ronhjones! I'm currently working on this article in Albanian as part of a WikiProject called WikiPotter which deals with Harry Potter articles. I found the image at the English Wikipedia in here and wanted to use it at the article I'm working on but I didn't know what kind of license to choose to match the one it has at the EnWiki. I'm not very knowledgeable at images and their licences. :/ Can you help me find the right licence for that image or tell me how can I find an image for the article I'm working on? - Klein Muçi (talk) 14:46, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, can't use them here. En-wiki allows fair use images under US law - commons does not allow any fair-use images. There are 600,000 fair use images on en-wiki, whcih are not suitable for commons. Fair use images have to be uploaded on the local wiki - but not all wikis will allow fair use. See m:Non-free content for the known list of wikis and their fair use policy (if not in list you will have to ask on your local wiki) Ronhjones  (Talk) 14:13, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Thanks for the answer then! :) Should I do anything to delete it or...? - Klein Muçi (talk) 14:32, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder[edit]

Hi Klein Muçi. I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests), you must follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 10:02, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeff G., hey there! Thank you for the provided information! Yes, unfortunately it isn't just 1 delete request. I was creating a lot of subpages for an activity my community is holding and until we settled up on a certain standard, we had to set up for deletion many of them. Fortunately that phase is over now and you gave me information for future cases so there won't be further problems. - Klein Muçi (talk) 10:06, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 10:13, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeff G., perhaps you can help me even with this request I made at the technical Village Pump? - Klein Muçi (talk) 10:17, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I can't help with that, but I noticed you made another malformed deletion request in this edit: omitting the subpage, transclusion, year, month, and day. Is something preventing you from using the automatic Nominate for deletion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests, or manually following the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy)? Warning: if you do it one more time, I will be forced to report your actions. Such edits are not tolerated and have led to account blocks, as "We cannot work here with people who are not willing to follow our procedures, in particular for deletion requests."   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 11:18, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeff G., you are totally free to report my actions and I fully agree to have my account blocked if that is the price for such an action. Please note that such kind of harsh language goes well past the "assume good faith" doctrine and creates a working environment which will neither be tolerated nor accepted by me to be part of. In my decade long activity in Wikimedia sites I have never seen anyone being threatened with a block for malformed delete templates, nor have I ever threatened to block someone for that reason in the WMF projects that I hold admin privileges for. And can't even think to do so as in my book that would be a clear abuse of power. Templates can be and are misused all the time for different reasons, some of them even for medical reasons as you don't know what expects you on the other side of the screen. Necroposting in a 2 year old post just to passively-aggressive threaten a user with a block for such an action is beyond normal admin behavior, especially from a veteran user such as yourself. I don't wish to escalate this any further so I'm just saying to please refrain from doing such attacks in the future.
To answer your question, I did try to use the "Nominate for deletion" tool, as I've used it in some deletion requests not more than 2-3 days ago, check my contributions if you want. I have only 2 hours of sleep today and I failed to find the link in the sidebar and I assumed it didn't work for the user namespace. - Klein Muçi (talk) 11:46, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I was following up on your reply in a section I had started. For years, I have been railing against incomplete deletion requests, which are caused by malformed use of {{Delete}} templates and lack of follow-through, and which are populating subcats of Category:Incomplete deletion requests. This problem spurred the creation of that category 17:57, 1 February 2007 (UTC), over 17 years ago, and my tracking of it 18:16, 14 November 2020 (UTC), over three years ago.   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 02:38, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your work is valued and even more so your overall dedication to this project. It was just the general methodology that I personally found harsher than it should be. Anyway, all is good and in the past. I'll try to use the tool from now on, especially now that I know that its usage is universal among the namespaces. After all, it does make everyone's life easier, mine included. - Klein Muçi (talk) 11:50, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Reda Kerbouche, I just got the Upload Wizard Campaign editor rights today myself. I'll give it a try alone and if things don't go well, I'll ask you for help. Thanks a lot for offering to help! :) - Klein Muçi (talk) 23:31, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
great to hear that. Contact me if any =) Reda Kerbouche (talk) 09:10, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Reda Kerbouche, I finished it. Thank you very much one more time for offering to help! :)) - Klein Muçi (talk) 11:48, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, I noticed that the Commons:Wiki Loves Living Heritage in Albania & Kosovo 2023 is using Singapore's header image. While it is fine to reuse the header image, the image is culturally specific to Singapore and may not resonate to Albania and Kosovo. If it is possible, do come up with an Albania & Kosovo specific one. Looking forward to it happening! (cc Ritamaliqi). Robertsky (talk) 03:36, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Robertsky! I hadn't perceived it like that. In my eyes those were "general" images to signify the concept of "heritage" and I was genuinely expecting it to quickly become a general symbol of WLLH. Do you think Commons:Graphic Lab/Illustration workshop would be able to help me in creating a similar header with different images integrated in it? Unfortunately no one from our community is good on creating illustrations. — Klein Muçi (talk) 02:31, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Haha. I don't mind it being a general symbol of WLLH. The image was created by someone from WMID, not from Singapore, due to lack of resources on our end as well. You can try asking in the workshop page, but I am not sure if someone will respond in time before the campaign ends. Robertsky (talk) 07:08, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Robertsky, good thinking. Well, I'll try to find an already existing photo these 2 days then. Thank you for the notice! — Klein Muçi (talk) 01:48, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Category discussion warning

Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group projects in 2022/en has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

Jmabel ! talk 04:52, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

User:Klein Muçi has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this user page, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Thanks for uploading File:Klodiana Shala and the President of Albania.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Yours sincerely, Yann (talk) 11:31, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yann, hey there! Thanks for the notice! Can you please help me a bit with this process? I want to contact the copyright holder to email the VRT about the photos mentioned. What exact steps would I need to do for that? What notice/changes do I need to put to the photos anywhere, if any? And how many emails would the copyright holder would need to send, if more than one? — Klein Muçi (talk) 12:01, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please read COM:VRT. All is explained there. The easiest process is that the copyright holder sends a permission using Commons:Wikimedia VRT release generator. Yann (talk) 12:08, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ideally, only one email message will be sent by each human involved. Most queues have auto-responders to send a message after first contact with a ticket number. It will keep you in the loop if the copyright holder carbon copies you on the first message.   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 12:17, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann, yes, I did read that but I wasn't sure where exactly to put the notice and if multiple emails would be needed to be sent in my case which involved multiple photos. After the comment from user @Jeff G. I'm guessing one email would be enough for all the mentioned photos, right? As for the notice, I'm trying to do that now, hopefully I'll do so in the right way. - Klein Muçi (talk) 12:31, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
