You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Nesplnění pravidel CWP 2023

Děkujeme za nahrání fotografií File:Beruška - Ladybird.jpg a File:Cestou na mši - On the way to Mass.jpg a File:Družina svatého Mikuláše - St. Nicholas Retinue.jpg do soutěže Czech Wiki Photo 2023

Dle pravidel soutěže je nezbytné, aby minimální rozměry kratší strany fotografie byly 2160 px. Rozměry fotografie, kterou jste nahrál/a toto pravidlo nesplňují. Nahrajte prosím tutéž fotografii ve větším rozlišení. Pokud tuto fotografii ve větším rozlišení nemáte, můžete do soutěže nahrát jinou fotografii.

Dle pravidel soutěže je nezbytné, aby minimální velikost souboru byla 2 MB. Velikost souboru (fotografie), kterou jste nahrál/a toto pravidlo nesplňují, a tudíž nemůže být zařazen do soutěže. Nahrajte prosím tutéž fotografii ve větší velikosti. Pokud tuto fotografii ve větším rozlišení nemáte, můžete do soutěže nahrát jinou fotografii.

Fotografie File:Duha nad parlamentem - Rainbow over Parliament.jpg a File:Lávka přes železnici.jpg které jste nahrál/a do Czech Wiki Photo 2023 nesplňují pravidla soutěže (nebyla pořízené na území ČR v období od 1.11.2022 do 31.10.2023). Z tohoto důvodu byly fotografie vyřazeny. Pokud máte jiné fotografie, které splňují pravidla soutěže, můžete je nahrát soutěže nahrát.

Please give images better names

I noticed you've uploaded File:Orlí oko - Eagle Eye.jpg and I thought I should draw your attention to a common error. Please give uploaded files meaningful names. Otherwise they are difficult to track and it is hard to tell what the file is about without actually looking at it. I suggest you rename your image with an intuitive name that describes the file itself. Thanks, and happy editing!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
