You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Komatiite photos

Thanks for uploading your komatiite photos to Wikimedia Commons. It's nice to see some good examples of spinifex texture etc. Do you have any details of the location where the samples were originally found? Also, do you have any information about the particular rock formation name and age? If you know any of these details, please could you add them to the photo descriptions? These pieces of information would improve the potential usefulness of the photos for various Wikipedia articles. GeoWriter (talk) 21:28, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing the komatiites. I agree that additional details would be nice. The samples have been sitting in drawers for years with nothing but sample numbers (sometimes) and mystery attached, so detective work is required. You are free to reply on your own page or mine, but I think most people tend to reply on the page where a discussion starts, just so that the comments and replies can be seen in one place. Therefore, I am copying your message here and replying here. Good luck with your detective work about the samples.
