Copyvio

Hei

Could take a look at this? It looks like a lot of copyvios to me. I think the are downloaded from the nikon / canon website.

What do you think?

Cheers, Sterkebaktalk 06:01, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes totally agree. Seems like I was a little late! Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 13:32, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Jorddunstfestivalen

Hei !

Hei Frode! Image:Pharrell performing September 2008.jpg

Hey Kanonkas, I sent the email to OTRS with the license and the image Image:Pharrell performing September 2008.jpg still hasn't been verified. Was it received? Thanks. DiverseMentality 19:36, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Oh sorry, I think you might have confused me as being an OTRS agent which I am not. I talked with an OTRS agent about it, he will respond to you shortly. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 18:37, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi DiverseMentality. I have responded to the ticket with a request for some more information. Please take a look and get back to us at your earliest convince. Just for my own reference, the ticket number is 2008111710019646. --J.smith (talk) 18:49, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

D'oh, sorry for the mix up Kanonkas. J.smith, I did happen to reply to the email a while ago as the user on Flickr changed the license. Hopefully this will clear things up. Sorry for the hassle, I'll try not to be so problematic next time. =P DiverseMentality 01:12, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Notice on flickr backlog

Dear Kanonkas,

  • Now that SterkeBak has removed his Adminship, it seems as if no one is marking new flickr images. There is a backlog here SterkeBak was very active at marking the images. This single image was uploaded on Nov. 20 and is still unmarked although its Nov. 23 today. Whatever happened to flickrbot? Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 02:35, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm not quite sure why it's just reviewing some images per day. Also Bryan's flickr upload bot seems to be slow too. Maybe Bryan can answer your questions? Best regards! --Kanonkas(talk) 18:06, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Diti’s RFA

Thank you for your trust

Dear Kanonkas,
^v^
^v^
Thank you for your support on my request for adminship, here at Commons. Now that I am a new sysop, I plan on starting small, closing obvious (to my eye) deletion requests at first, getting bolder with experience as and when my contributions here intensify. As a contributor, I look forward acquiring professional photography/video skills and equipment, that will allow me, one day, to proudly help Commons to be better (I would like to obtain my Master's degree while in Antarctica, more free videos and photos of this place would be truly great). Waiting for this moment to happen, let me address you once again my warmest thanks for your trust and your support in my successful request for adminship, that received 100% of  support votes.
I do feel the tools given to me will be useful for the project as well as, obviously, for me. And even for you: besides questions regarding templates (about parser functions for example) and licensing, I will be henceforth there at any moment to perform administrative tasks like deletions, interventions on protected pages, and the like. You just have to ask me on my talk page or by IRC at #wikimedia-commons, and I will normally be glad to honor your request.

Flickr reviewing

Hi, do you know of any useful scripts to make my life easier when reviewing images? Thanks. How do you turn this on (talk) 23:28, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply! Of course I do! You might find Animum's flickr reviewer useful, or maybe Patstuart's script? Last we've got a gadget which you can find in your pref "Flickr fixer" however I don't even recommend that one, full of bugs. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 20:20, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

The Prime Minister of Canada

Dear Admin Kanonkas, As an Admin, can you kindly give me your view as to whether this image should or should not be moved to Commons with a bot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Stephen_Harper_(Official_Photo).jpg There is no date or author stated. However, there must be an author here since it has OTRS permission...and only you can view the ticket. I wish to know if there are any major objections if it is moved to Commons for the benefit of non-English wiki sites, nothing more. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 04:40, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Good day. Sorry but I can't check any OTRS ticket but I see you got this here resolved. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 09:42, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Image to delete

I spoke to Lupo about this relief...and he told me that it cannot be kept: Image:Punt khoisan.jpg Reliefs are by definition 3D Art. Its not like papyri or paintings. The original uploader Muntuwandi made a mistake here. Can you place a DR on it? Better yet, can it be deleted ASAP using a speedy delete tag. Re: Your recent block(s)

(poor english) I have been confused: I have unblocked the Ip. I can speak english if the questions are simple, but I am not able to express to me in English in this question (to write in english I use Babel Fish). I speak Galician language, spanish & Portugal language.

(poor english) In case you considers that by this action I must resign to being administrator, I would understand it. Now, I only can say that I feel the happened thing--Lmbuga gl, pt, es: contacta comigo 16:38, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks (but, in English, I only can write little complex orations). Greetings--Lmbuga gl, pt, es: contacta comigo 16:59, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Dispute resolution

hi there,

thank you for your comments. I believe a dispute resolution would be best too since I get the impression that there are two issues here that are getting mixed up. I am also concerned about User:Herrick's actions of gathering votes against me on the German Wikipedia, kinda like a "let's get them" action. Gryffindor (talk) 21:08, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the work. I have doubts that the baying of hounds will be dealt with by it but the effort is appreciated. Regards --Herby talk thyme 12:10, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing, I was really shocked by this incident. I never thought something like this here would happend, at least not on Commons. --Kanonkas(talk) 12:14, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
I sincerely agree. I'm questioning any further work here in such an aggressive atmosphere - if I wanted that I would work on another wiki! --Herby talk thyme 12:16, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Hey. Thanks again for the try to find a way to work through the issues. A question: should User:Kanonkas/Dispute resolution/Gryffindor's renaming/Evidence entries be signed? You may want to clarify that on the page (and maybe use {{Unsigned2}} to add sigs to what is there now?) ... hope that helps. ++Lar: t/c 19:17, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Hm, good suggestion. I'll leave a note and sign the entries. Thanks for the tip. --Kanonkas(talk) 19:19, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Notice

Dear Kanonkas: As an answer to the request of Lmbuga I translate his main last intervention about the discusion in [1]. He wants all the editors involved in the discussion to have access to them. I am afraid this is by now purely anecdotical because afterwards he said that he was going to block himself forever immediately. So now we don´t have where to interact.

Cheers!.----Balbo (talk) 12:21, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

The real problem, (that for sure nobody understands).

The matter is that all this issue (the incorrect blocking that I made for two hours) was finished (enough clarified) before Mike. Lifeguard was involved. The behavior of the other users and mine was exquisite. I wouldn´t have had reason to ask them if they considered that my error was a reason for me to leave the administratorship. However, I preferred that transparency to be able to continue easily.

Mike-lifeguard reopened the topic. In addition he showed new data that favored my discredit and that involved that I should explain all again, make new clarifications. It was almost five o`clock in the morning and I had been working on Commons and Galipedia (although the work didn´t seem very productive, work of revision and control) from four o´clock p.m., with only two stops of no more than two hours each).

I had to explain that I din´d see his message of the 14 or 15 of November in my talk page because he didn´t write it at the end of the page (of maybe I just didn´t see it or I didn´t remember it). I had to explain that I have as a motto not to edit in case that I am waiting for an answer (unless I do it to give another answer).

I had to explain that, out of my 18.259 editions in Commons (even more in Galipedia) done in over two years, 2698 were done in user pages and almost all of thm intending to teach the rules, and they were made with lots of patience.

I had to explain that very few times I chose to block and that I don´t remember blocking anybody for longer than 3 days (although someone may have happened). I had to explain that it is the first time that I am told not to have attended a request in my user page. I had to explain that It is the first time (I guess) that I am wrong in a blocking. (I have made at least twice an error for the same reason. Mike.lifeguard has proved it when all the matter was clarified).

(I don´t criticize Mike.Lifeguard because of his behaviour or because of his thoughtlessness, he should have used the mail to contact me, as the affair was over. Seing the finished affair, his ego didn´t let him a rematch as I had the thoughtlessness of not having answered him, but it was originally his error, as he didn’t put the answer at the end of my talk page or the error was mine and his words passed unnoticed to me. Anyway, his attitude was too much for me.

I had to explain that opening the matter when it was already closed and pointing at a new error of mine is to give wings to those who hound me. I had to explain the cause of that feeling of being hounded. I had to explain that if we administrators must be careful with the users, we must be even much more with other administrators. I would have to explain the situation of weakness of the administrators. I should have to explain the situation of weakness of the administrators with a public real identity. I would have to explain that I couldn´t sleep tht night, (the reason of why I continued editing), that I had a headache for the lack of rest and I couldn´t go to work the next day. And that I am not in the mood of not sleeping of sleeping bad because of what happens in Commons or in Galipedia. I would have to explain that I am not in the mood for letting that what happens in Commons affects in my job.

I should have to explain that usually, and to be effective, as I have lots of work to be done, I do things too fast, and that because of this (I know that some people is waiting for my eventual errors to thrash me), every time I see a message in my talk page by heart beats fasters. I should have to explain that I am not God, that I don´t feel to be God, but that 2698 editions in user talk pages, in the way thy were made (extension, dedication...) I deserve that the warning may be done in private, specially when the matter Is finished and also is my behaviour in it.)

I can not be longer in Commons. I only would accept it if I could continue clean, I say, whith an impeccable history, without a history, free of past critics to reproach. I am tried of being scared. ¿What would happen in my next error, as I am convinced that ther will be other if I continue? ¿How long would I last in having new displeasures for trying to be more effective than what I am able to be?

I would have to explain all this in English. I cannot and all the dedication is not worthwhile, as I am nobody to change anything.

Good luck to everybody, including Mike.lifeguard. Lmbuga.

End of the translation. Cheers! --Balbo (talk) 12:35, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I am afraid I have no idea. I don´t know his e-mail. He has asked those who have it not to use it anymore. I only communicated with him through the Spanish Café and our user talk pages. Sorry if I cannot help more. Cheers!--Balbo (talk) 13:15, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

My removed image

Hey, I want know the exact reason of the you removed my image. (CyrusasHannahonBOBW.jpg)

Thanks. Renanx3 (talk) 21:31, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Good day. The issue is that the flickr uploader didn't allow derivative works to be done. All images on this project needs to allow derivative works to be done. Such works can't be published without permission of the original creator. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 21:45, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

But in the license] about this photo says that I can use this photo if I atribute the credits and I did so. Renanx3 (talk) 16:24, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. :) The question of attribution is not the issue here. It is the second part of that license, which stipulates that there are to be no derivative works. Now, you can email the uploader through flickr mail and ask them to give permission, which (if they accept), you will then need to forward to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. However, with its current flickr license, and no evidence that you have permission from the uploader, it is not properly licensed for Commons. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 15:21, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Hello, since the page is protected and is not clear enough on the usage, may you add :

Trusted users have to paste '''{{tlx|rename|New name.ext}}''' on the file page.<br />
(for details, see : [[Commons:MediaMoveBot/CheckPage]])

Good day, Yug. However I have one concern, why should I include "(for details, see : Commons:MediaMoveBot/CheckPage)" on the same page? --Kanonkas(talk) 16:13, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

So indexing content to assist people is not within Commons Scope? The index was started to replace a link that was made to a non-free content site.

2nd chance requested per Spacebirdy's comments on Meta:User talk:I-210. --75.47.211.155 20:05, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

You know, I gave you plenty of chances to improve but you didn't change what you did. Instead you continued abusing multiple accounts, disruption, etc. I don't think I have to say anything more; I will & stand by having you blocked for a good time. You also engaged in cross wiki disruption & impersonating users. I'm not taking this lightly at all, and you were active with this as recently as November. After a good long time I might consider unblocking you, but that unblock request better have good reasoning. --Kanonkas(talk) 20:55, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Flickrbot malfunction

Dear Admin Kanonkas,

  • Note: Did you know that there is a backlog of 197+ images and counting here With Sterkebak gone, not enough Admins inspect them and flickrbot has not marked any images for 1 full week since December 14 according to this. Hi Kanonkas/Archive 4. I would like to thank you for the interest you have shown in my request for adminship, and for the time you have taken to review my profile. As a Christmas present I've just been given the admin tools, for which I'm thankful as well. I have understood all the remarks that have been made during the review period. Hi, this deletion request was opened on 2008-11-28, and then suspended to give the uploader some time to send permission to COM:OTRS. As I didn't see any progress on this, I tried to contact User:Vincentmichaelbrown asking him for feedback, but I didn't get any answer. Is there an OTRS ticket pending? Merry Christmas, and a question

Is this TVN-logo protected as a trademark, or can it be used by Commons? It was placed in the TVN-article on no.wp, and I removed it, even though I am aware that it has been on Commons a while. Dear Kanonkas, Can you either delete or place a DR on this image:

I believe this user (Miladps) did not create the image and he was blocked for blatant copyvio infringement for 2 weeks. Have you scrolled through his userpage here. Frankly his conduct is appalling and the image has got to go...somehow. It is being used in WP's article on the Achaemenid Empire. What do you think? Actually, the only important difference I see lays in the categories. I assumed that as Zombie proxies were less than 10, there wouldn't be much objections to list them with open proxies... I see that I was wrong!
Please can you explain me more in detail the reasons of your revert?

-- AlNo (discuter/talk/hablar/falar) 15:34, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

edit: I would like to add that the merge was also a convenient way to benefit from the new autotranslating template without building a full set of subpages for {{Zombie blocked}}. -- AlNo (discuter/talk/hablar/falar) 15:36, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Per above, it's really because zombie proxies & open proxies are different. Not really much else to say. However, while I'm on that is it possible if you could fix the blocked proxy template? As I think this was kind of a major change, would it be possible if you could add back the former image & layout while using autotranslate? --Kanonkas(talk) 15:40, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
I also was bold by setting the same look&feel to the different blocking user templates, to make them more consistent. Now this is not a big deal to revert {{Blocked proxy}} layout to the original one ;) => ✓ Done
I'll start a thread about this on the VP, to get more ideas and advices.

Hello

Dear Kanonkas, I received a "File deletion warning" from an anonymous user for one of my images but I can not figure it out, I think it may be vandalism, can you please take a look? File:Qxz-ad156.gif. Thanks in advance.   ■ MMXXtalk  21:59, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

I've fixed all the formatting. My guess is that the IP saw the image on Google (most Commons images are indexed on search engines) and thought it was a copyright violation. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 13:47, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, actually the problem was that I didn't know that I should remove "File deletion warning" from image page or complete it. again thank you very much.   ■ MMXXtalk  07:49, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

File:Memory_Alpha_Logo.png

Why did you delete File:Memory_Alpha_Logo.png? Memory Alpha says, it is CC-BY. What's the reason not to believe them? --Slomox (talk) 05:40, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

The image is missing permission. If you have the permission you can go to this page for more information on how to send OTRS the permission. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 12:44, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
What are you talking about? It's CC-BY-2.5. --Slomox (talk) 16:27, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
However, their is no evidence for that. That is why it needs to have permission. --Kanonkas(talk) 17:41, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
No evidence? What evidence do you need? There is a "source" tag referencing http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Image:Wiki.png. And http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Image:Wiki.png says: "This image is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License v. 2.5". Do you think Memory Alpha is lying about their own logo? --Slomox (talk) 19:08, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for giving more information. I've now restored the image. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 19:56, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for giving more information? The information was always present since 2005. Errors are human, but please be more careful with deletions in the future. CommonsDelinker has erased the image from all projects. I don't know whether there is a standard way, to easily reverse those replacements. If not, it will take some time until those articles are repaired. --Slomox (talk) 20:14, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
I reverted CommonsDelinker on all Memory Alpha Wikipedia articles, but other pages may remain. --Slomox (talk) 20:21, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Images

You deleted images with link to source which I wrote with licence. You are cheeky and I hate you. Pietras1988 10:46, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Please remain calm. The images I deleted from you had a source, however no permission. I tried to check the link, but I couldn't find anything giving the "permission" part. If you do have the permission, please notify me! Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 11:55, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Given the fact, that the images were hosted on Commons since 2005 without anybody objecting in all the years, given the fact, that a source was provided and given the fact, that 30 images of Pietras1988 were tagged at the same time, it would have been necessary to notify the uploader in a form that makes sure, he can react in time. Notifications on the Commons talk page are not sufficient. Most users don't have a look on it regularly and e-mail notification is not active by default.
This mass deletion affected two images on my home wiki too and when CommonsDelinker delinked them, I had a look, whether the deletion was correct (I do that most of the time for images used on my home wiki; btw: those two images and the Memory Alpha logo [see one heading above] were three consecutive edits on recent changes). I had a feeling that the deletions were dubious but I was not able to find an explicit statement that affirms a permission from SUAW. Had I known that this affects 30 images and not only the two used on my home wiki, I had taken a more thorough look.
Pietras1988, please provide some information when and how SUAW gave you permission to use the images under the GFDL. If you provide that information, I will try to help restoring the images. --Slomox (talk) 20:59, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
SUAW is nickname of owner blog http://kuroow.blox.pl and he agreed on photo publicated in CC-By-25 licence but he said that can also agree on GFDL. In my Wiki (Wiki about Kurów) is several his Kurow's photos: [5] Pietras1988 12:36, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
I can't see there the "owner" agreed to put the images under a free license. As Kanonkas said, it might be wise for you to try emailing OTRS the permission. This clarification is essential; we can't simply take your word for it. The address is permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 12:47, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
He wrote to me mail ca. 3,5 years ago so I mustn't private mails and he now don't write on own blog... You are stupid... Pietras1988 19:14, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank You

Hi Kanonkas/Archive 4, I would like to express my gratitude for your participation at my recent RfA, which succeeded with an overwhelming final count of 100 % support. I'm happy that so many people have put faith in my abilities as an admin and I promise to use the tools wisely and do my best not to let you down. Please do feel free to get in touch if you feel you can improve me in any way; I will be glad to listen to all comments. Again, thanks,Abigor talk 17:45, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Homer's world view

Dear Kanonkas,

  • If you have the time, please look at this difficult DR here and feel free to type out your views (pro or con). IMO, there is no 'standard' Homer map. They are all later interpretations of what Homer's world view was. If this gets deleted, I would say hundreds of other historical recreations/interpretations of maps in the ancient world can also be deleted at Commons. That would be a great loss to WP. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 22:21, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, but I don't think I'll be so helpful. As such I feel it's better not to comment. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 12:39, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks ..

Conditional use images

Dear Admin Kanonkas, Can you please view these 2 conditional use images and tell me if they are too restrictive to be moved to Commons or not. They are on English WP at present...and I have a headache just understanding the 'copyright' license: [6] and [7]

  • I know that there are images with an 'Attribution' tag on Commons but this is a different license. I've...never seen it anywhere before and don't know if Commons would accept it. Please help. --Leoboudv (talk) 00:29, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
I'll check. Sorry for the late response. --Kanonkas(talk) 11:07, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
This was uploaded in 2005, and the license is weird as you say. The uploader can't decide that you can't use it "in a misleading context". Apart from that it would have been fine. Seeing the "in a misleading context" on the images makes me a little confused. I'd have to say no for now. You might want to take it to PUI. --Kanonkas(talk) 21:54, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Dear Kanonkas,
  • Both Lupo and M. Maggs agree with you. I thought you were away so I sent my question to Admin Maggs 2 days later here Anyway, I have now sent a message to user Twthmoses on Wikipedia asking if he will change the license to "cc by sa 3.0." I suspected the 'conditional use' license would be too restrictive on Commons...but unlike you or Lupo/Maggs, I am not an expert on Commons policies. So, I needed legal advice here. Thank You for your belated reply. BTW, I pray I never have to see another image with such a confusing license again. Thank You from Canada, --Leoboudv (talk) 10:43, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

ROWAN ROSETHORNE IMAGES

Hello, it has come to my attention that you have deleted the files that I have uploaded because according to you, I violated copyright laws. The thing is, those files belong to me because i DO know the person ROBI DOMINGO (the subject of the pictures) personally hence I cannot understand why it was deleted because most pictures were taken by me and others were taken by other Robilievers. I do hope you get them back up because it can be a hassle to re-upload them again. Thanks and I hope that this misunderstanding can be cleared soon.

Hi. In that case you might want to verify the permission by giving it to our OTRS team. You can do so by e-mailing to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. An OTRS agent will be helping you with this. More information can be found here. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 09:12, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Template error?

Hello, thanks for the talk page welcome but it looks like you may be using the wrong template here[8]: this one is ominously saying "Your image or other content was recently deleted, or will soon be deleted", which is probably not what you intended since I didn't upload any file. 62.147.38.220 12:11, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Good day. That was correct as the page you created "Info:Arto Paasilinna" was deleted. It was deleted under the project scope policy. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 12:14, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

What? You've not even checked it and deleted on sight?

Are you daft deleting in-use leads and interwikis? 62.147.38.220 12:25, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

That's not a template. If you were trying to make a template, then you made it in the wrong namespace. An example: "Template:Arto Paasilinna" - not "Info:Arto Paasilinna" without the qoutes. That said, calling me "daft" is not nice at all. Personal attacks aren't helpful either. --Kanonkas(talk) 12:41, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Routine admin procedure before even thinking of deleting a page is to A) read the page, and B) check its WhatLinksHere.
  • You have not done A) yet still claimed the page "not in scope" without reading it (because I don't find it credible that you would declare a template with 16 multilingual leads, interwikis, and documentation to not be in scope if you had read it).
  • You have not done B) yet still deleted the page (else you'd have seen it was transcluded on two pages, which was also documented in its header you didn't read). You can't delete transcluded contents without first fixing or replacing it.
  • Hence it is rather tame how I called your behavior in violation of the most basic procedures.
  • Even if you had some problem with the documented Help:Namespaces#Info prefix, the very least would have been to save the transcluded contents by moving this infopage to the regular Template: namespace. The wiki philosophy is "Don't delete, improve" -- not "Murder first, ask questions never".
  • And BTW, it WAS a template: any transcluded page is a template, whether stored in the usual Template: namespace or not; for instance all pages in the Creator: namespace are templates too.
So after your wrongdoing I had to find the lost contents back in my cache and recreate it as Template:Arto Paasilinna and fix the two pages you broke and waste twice the time when I should have been running the Wikipedias to tag 20+ articles with {{Commons|Arto Paasilinna}}. Way to go. 62.147.38.220 14:47, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
See Commons:Project scope#Must be a media file and Commons:Project scope/Pages, galleries and categories. The problem was that the page didn't contain any media content - see the two links I gave you. Be nice. A more polite response will get a much better response in turn. --Kanonkas(talk) 14:08, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Deletion

thanks --Gwib (talk) 21:52, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Happy to help. Would you mind using it? We've got a project scope, and the image is kind of out of the project scope. For use on a personal user page of another project, or Commons would make the image allowed. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 22:12, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Image for deletion?

This is a FlickrLickr image but it is definitely out of scope. It is useless and is not used on any Wikipedia articles anywhere.

✓ Done. --Kanonkas(talk) 02:12, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi,

I noticed that you deleted these and reuploaded them under different names and was wondering why. Thanks. --BrokenSphere 02:23, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry for that - I thought that the titles were a bit confusing (hires ....) part. Hope you don't mind the move. Best regards, --Kanonkas(talk) 02:29, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I thought so. I'm trying to move towards including the original file name (the whole hires... part) into the image summary vs. in the title. BrokenSphere 02:32, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
