Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

The image is in the "public domain"; following information is respectfully submitted; spec.,

Joshua, my note was related to the requirement that all files on Commons need to have a license template which explains the copyright status of the photograph. Please see COM:LIC and COM:CT for list of possible license templates. In general all photographs are assumed to be copyrighted and we have one license template for each exception from that rule. If the source country of this photograph is the US than you might find Commons:Hirtle chart a useful tool for finding the correct license template. --Jarekt (talk) 16:29, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Joshua, I think I found a license template that fits the best. Asking libraries about copyrights related to books they hold is unlikely to be fruitful. In most cases you would need to know the name of the photographer and check with his/her heirs. I would suggest creating a category:6th Florida Infantry Regiment to hold all the images related to your article and connect it somehow with Category:Infantry Regiments of the United States Army and Category:Military in Florida. --Jarekt (talk) 13:06, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
