Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Madame, Monsieur,

Si vous êtes réellement administrateur sur la wikipédia, autant jouer la carte de la transparence et l'indiquer sur votre page de présentation Commons. Il est pour le moins étrange que tous les administrateurs jugent utile de le faire mais non vous. Par ailleurs, il serait souhaitable que vous ne réitériez pas des demandes de retrait de fichier qui ont déjà été traitées. Par ailleurs, je ne vous permets aucunement de me tutoyer. Actif depuis plus de 12 ans avec plus de 52 000 fichiers versés sur Commons, ce n'est pas un petit capo présent depuis seulement 2017 avec le nombre mirifique de 586 contributions sur Commons et seulement 306 fichiers postés qui va m'apprendre ce qu'est le droit d'auteur. Prenez des cours d'administrateur auprès de VIGNERON, Pymouss, consultez, cela vous évitera d'encourager la malhonnêteté de certains qui en sont réduits à s'accaparer le travail d'autrui. Libre à vous de me bloquer : je n'ai pas du tout l'intention de continuer à contribuer sur des projets qui n'ont plus rien de collaboratifs et où règne une atmosphère plus que délétère grâce à une coterie de censeurs à la pseudo neutralité autoproclamée. Votre petit ego devrait être satisfait : un contributeur en moins sur la wikipédia et plus de 52 000 fichiers en quête de paternité puisque visiblement je n'en suis pas l'auteur.

Je suis aussi un des bénévoles qui répondent au courrier francophone de Wikimedia fr:WP:VRTS. J’ai été contacté par une personne qui revendiquait la paternité de l’image. Intervenant peu sur Commons, j’ai retransmis se demande en lançant un débat sur sa suppression, laissant les spécialistes trancher (je pense avoir été clair dans le message qui accompagnait cette demande, avec mention du ticket VRTS)
