Violate copyright when the images are public?

@Karim185.3: Without knowing Arabic, that would be difficult for me. However, please note that all png screenshots and screengrabs look extra fuzzy when scaled down (due to design decisions discussed in phab:T192744), so for each you may want to upload a jpg version which will look sharper, too. Please also indicate when (at what point in time during a source video, expressed in minutes and seconds) you made a shot or grab, so that the reviewer will not have to watch the entire source video.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 14:15, 21 April 2022 (UTC)

@Karim185.3: Typically, Microsoft Paint and Apple Paintbrush can save as jpg, and the GIMP can export as jpg. Your capturing software may be able to do that natively with a "Save As" function. Help needed to upload a Book cover where I have the permission of the heir

Hi Jeff,

I take the liberty of seeking your help because you were so kind to do so in the past (2017) with great success. It concerns 3 Italian Book covers from 1967, 1969 & 1972 to upload on Wikipedia (at least two would be perfect) [Juliette Benzoni] and likewise for the Juliette Benzoni Italian Wikipedia page.

I have the permission of the heir of the late Italian Graphic Designer "Fulvio Bianconi" who painted these Book covers.

1. La Belle Catherine by Juliette Benzoni 1967 2. La Vendetta di Catherine by Juliette Benzoni 1969 3. Marianne et lo sconosciuto toscano by Juliette Benzoni 1972

I have been in contact with the 'Archivio Fulvio Bianconi' in Italy and have a document from 19.4. 2022, where it is stated that I may use four of the covers and the text which has to be added. It is stated that I am not to share with any third party these covers except Wikipedia.

I admit that I do not trust myself to add the images myself. It needs an expert to add the right permission.

I do not remember how I can come into contact with Wikipedia where I can send the Book covers and show the permission to do so. ~I do remember that I was in contact in the past via email. It has to be done before the 31.6. 2022.

thanks a lot for the quick reply.
I clicked now on permissions-commons (I thought I start with the English at first) and my email opened up. The permission I have is written in Italian and I have translated it to be sure I understood everything correctly.
Would it now be sufficient if I send to permissions-commons a copy of that document which I received already on 19.4. 2022? I would add my translation and also those Covers, which should be uploaded. On the document is my email address, my name and so on. Or does the Archivio Fulvio Bianconi really have to write to that email address? Plus adding the Ticket# you have written here?
