Hello Jeff.G! She carbon copied my email adress instead of my Username, we will fix that later ( because of time differences she is probably asleep right now). Like we try to explain: This is the original file she send you. We would love to use another picture with better quality, but this is not possible anymore (because of obvious reasons). Is there any other way to verify that this picture is hers/mine? Also I think it would be good if we delete those two book covers, because the copyright holder is probably the publisher and not the autor! Movie poster files deleted

Hi Jeff G, I recently uploaded some film posters to use as the image for a couple of pages that I created and you deleted them due to copyright issues. Forgive me as I am new to uploading photos here but I thought I was following the format that other Wikipedia/media users follow when uploading movie posters that they do not have the right to. Is there a specific way to upload movie poster images a correct way or do I somehow need to get permission from the creators? Thanks for your help! If you want to upload high resolution movie poster images here on Wikimedia Commons, please see Commons:Licensing for why we can't accept movie poster images of others, and have the image designer(s), photographer(s), or producer(s) post Commons:Licensing compliant permission for such work on their website or social media presence or send the image and permission via OTRS. Low resolution movie posters on English Wikipedia (there called "film posters") were uploaded there for Fair Use subject to en:WP:F. Side remark why I asked this: In COM:VP there is a question for license reviewing of Youtube sourced stuff. I took a quick look in subcategory YouTube videos review needed and think a lot of these should be deleted for personality reasons and – the precautionary principle. Will you advise me about my problem?

Hello,

What can I do about A.Savin? I'm not supposed to post on his page per the advice of AFBorchert as it upsets him to much because he is not allowed to block me. I hate to report him again to per the dispute resolution link. The first time I did, some other Admins wanted to desop A.Savin. They told him he could not ever block me because he is too involved personally. The second time I reported him, A.Savin petitioned to have me blocked, another Admin got desopped for blocking A.Savin. And after that, no one else commented or replied to my issues which still remain; some of it has not even been archived yet.

Yesterday he emptied and then deleted about 19 categories I had made on "Spiral staircases". He said at the village pump the basis for this was "staircase means the room where the stairs are built in, and the room cannot be spiral". He said he knew this because when he went to Wikipedia, Staircase which redirected to "stairs". Somehow he interpreted the article there to mean his definition above.

Jeff please help

You have marked my uploads as a copyright violation on File:Sub u.tif .Sub U Systems has given me permission to upload the file. I am a new user and think I missed something when I uploaded it. For now can you help me just delete the file and I can reupload it at a later date? Thank you HRWSPEC (talk) 15:17, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

@HRWSPEC: If you want to upload high resolution movie poster images here on Wikimedia Commons, please see Commons:Licensing for why we can't accept movie poster images of others, and have the image designer(s), photographer(s), or producer(s) post Commons:Licensing compliant permission for such work on their website or social media presence or send the image and permission via OTRS. Low resolution movie posters on English Wikipedia (there called "film posters") were uploaded there for Fair Use subject to en:WP:F. We do not accept Fair Use files here on Wikimedia Commons. en:Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard gives four options for uploading directly on that project: Click here to start the Upload Wizard on top in the middle; Files for upload process; Plain form for local uploads; and Old guided form (the latter three in the right column under "Wikipedia").
