Central Bank of the Philippines

Per your nomination for deletion - The Central Bank of the Philippines was established in 1949. How can their prohibition apply to notes issued prior to 1949? Furthermore, the Philippine Island Treasury Proofs were designed, engraved, and printed by the US Bureau of Engraving & Printing when the Philippines was a U.S. Territory and as such they are in the public domain.-Godot13 (talk) 05:44, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

@Godot13: Then COM:CUR United States would apply for those older notes.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 05:48, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Understood. But regarding the non-US issued notes, I don't think that a bank established in 1949 can dictate the rules retroactively over currency they never issued. There are also some occupation notes on that list, which were issued by the Japanese occupying forces in WWII...-Godot13 (talk) 05:54, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Not to mention an 1898 note that was issued by the Spanish treasury when the Philippines were part of Spain...-Godot13 (talk) 05:57, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
@Godot13: Then COM:CUR Japan and COM:CUR Spain would apply for those older notes.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 06:01, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

deletion logos

You deleted 2 logos File:Logo della rete Lilith.jpeg and File:Tempispazi.jpeg which were uploaded by user:Maria patrelli who is the author of them and set upload to CC BY SA. Can you undelete them? --Eugenia Galateri (talk) 14:49, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

@Eugenia Galateri and Maria patrelli: They were deleted by @EugeneZelenko, not me. I only tagged them as copyright violations because they existed on the web already and Maria claimed they were her own work. I cannot undelete them, but you can appeal by asking Eugene or posting to COM:UDR, or by sending permission via OTRS.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 15:05, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Jeff, I received your question you had on photo https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Eddie_Gomez_%26_Jazz_blues_guitarist_Mike_Armando_at_mja_recording_session.jpg The photographer was Tom Kniffing who past away in 1995 from a heart attack. He worked for me back than. When I had any photos I wanted to have taken he would take them for me and I would pay him to take them. He used my camera equipment I provided him to take the photos. The photo in question was taken at Hillside Sound Studio,Englewood,NJ. There was a few recording session for this project one on January 4th, 18th and April 12, 16th 1994 I was the Executive producer for the CD project I booked hired the musicians and paid for the studio for this session. Bassist Eddie Gomez was the bassist I hired for this recording session. The Facebook posting was posted by me. Crossworddouble (talk) 18:07, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Mike, thanks for getting back to me. I'm sorry to hear about Tom Kniffing's passing. Did you have an agreement with him as to copyrights?   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 18:20, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
Pinging @Crossworddouble.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 18:21, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Jeff to answer your question, no there was never a written agreement. The only agreement we had was a verbal agreement since we were good friends. Any photos I paid him to take were mine and I was copyright owner. I told him I would always give him credit for taking the photos. Crossworddouble (talk) 18:39, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Jeff to answer your question on photo https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ginny_Hawkins,_Screamin_Jay_Hawkins_wife.jpg That photo was taken with a cheap instamatic camera the cameras you used to buy in the drug stores back than. The photo was taken in 1978. If there are any references to date and time of digitizing that is a mistake. The photo was taken in 1978. I scanned the photo and made a JAPAG.Crossworddouble (talk) 19:14, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

@Crossworddouble and Mike Armando: Why use multiple accounts?   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 09:15, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Jeff I noticed most people do not use there real names on there Wikimedia accounts. They use made up names for some reasons. I think that is what I should have done for security reasons. On Facebook and Twitter everyone mostly uses there real names. I heard you should never use your real name on Wkimedia for some reason which I did. I do not know the reason. As to your question on multiple accounts. I am using that as an alternate account in case I use a public computer and someone hacks into me. I want to make sure that my primary account, Mike Armando is safe and not lose everything. If there is a problem with this let me know. If your not allowed to have two accounts I could delete the crossworddouble account if that is what you want. Let me know. Like I said this is just a backup account not an account to make comments and pretend I am someone else. That is not what I do. Thanks Let me know. Mike Armando (talk) 11:02, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

@Jeff G.: Okay. Shall I give you his email as I do think theres a language barrier. Then you can explain to him about emailing commons. It says he is Austrian according to his profile on Air net OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 11:29, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

RFA?

Hi, I think it is time you request admin right (again). ;) I can recommend you. Regards, Yann (talk) 19:55, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

@Yann: Yes, please. I would welcome your recommendation.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 11:24, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
Here it is: Commons:Administrators/Requests/Jeff G./2. Please add your RFA to the list once you accept it. Regards, Yann (talk) 11:54, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
I think you shouldn't vote on your own nomination. May be you can complete my very short introduction, as you like. Regards, Yann (talk) 12:13, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
@Yann: Thank you. I edited my work. I think your introduction could use some editing, though.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 12:30, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Indeed, Yann’s initiative came in a very inauspicious moment. In other circumstances I’d likely support Jeff’s RfA without much debates. But may one support promotion for a user who recently harassed another Commoner using resources of Meta-wiki? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 18:57, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

@Jeff G.: Buddy id recommend you for admin. Hell yes. You’ve helped me out more then once and if you need another recommendation send me a message on my talk page or call my name ;) OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 12:17, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi

I asked for the logo regarding Kolkata Metro in Wikimedia Commons. Please solve my issue.

@Arnabsaha2212: en:File:KMRC-KOLMETRO.png is not free, so unfortunately we may not host the bottom half here on Commons without permission.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 15:00, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

@Jeff G.: isn't there any way for it? How these en:File:KMRC-KOLMETRO.png and en:File:Kolkata Metro Logo.svg logos were made or generated? Arnabsaha2212 (talk) 17:37, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

@Arnabsaha2212: Is File:KMRC Logo.jpg usable for your purposes?   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 18:04, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

@Jeff G.: No No, not for my purposes. en:Kolkata_Metro_Line_2 in this article the logo given is wrong. And thus its creating misunderstanding among people, as most people rely on wikipedia. In this article the KMRC logo is the correct one... Arnabsaha2212 (talk) 18:36, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
