Hank Gans images question

Hi Jay... on Image:Kane Street Courtyard.jpg and the other Hank Gans images, you tagged them CC 3.0 unported for licensing, but his site seems to be tagged as copyright/all rights reserved accross it. Where did Gans release these images under CC licensing? I wasn't able to easily find a lot of the images you uploaded on his site, either, for the source URL. These images aren't on his website. He took them for Wikipedia, and sent them to me, and I uploaded them on his behalf. Jayjg (talk) 01:51, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Images licensed only for Wikipedia are not permitted here (COM:L). Can we get an OTRS release stating that he freely licenses them for all purposes? —Giggy 01:56, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Photos

They weren't your photos; that was the whole problem. They were photos you copied from other websites in violation of copyright laws, and falsely claimed as your own. Saving Wikipedia from copyright violations does make me sleep better at night. Jayjg (talk) 22:05, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
