Not sure if I "talk" here or not, somewhat confusing. Either way, an email has been sent to a Stephen Philbrick with Wiki on permission from photographer Michael Cairns to use photos since no one believes me. I fully understand your concerns but hoping someone understands mine and Ford's as well. 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:13, 3 November 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jannajoos (talk • contribs) 17:08, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry on not signing, forgot. This has all been quite stressful. 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:15, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I forwarded part of all this on to the photographer Michael Cairns so he knows what is going on. 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:17, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I forgot to sign all three, have now, but my reaction to the "warnings" is quite unnerving to say the least. 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:14, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Due to the stress of all this, three times at that, I forgot to sign. Again, if Ford is not worthy just let us know or maybe this is one of the ways. No problem. 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:16, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, I am discussing this in OTRS ticket:2019110310003284 --Sphilbrick (talk) 17:28, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I have contacted both the photographers used, Michael Cairns and Erik Krefeld. Michael has already emailed, as it's the two photos Ford owns that he took. It was wondered how one could do that, take one's own professional shot, and figured it was a typo in the photo permission request. Either way, this is being taken care of. Yes, understood. I went back and signed all and wrote again signing that as well to all three warnings which by the way I have communicated and shared with photographer Michael Cairns so he knows what is going on. I know you're only doing your job, but this is quite stressful from our end. If you feel Ford is not worthy to be on Wiki then just say so, and that will make it easier on everyone. All I can say is that we're trying, but it seems we're trying AFTER the fact(s). thank you. 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:25, 3 November 2019 (UTC) 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:21, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If I end up signing posts twice now it's by accident, just making sure! 2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 17:26, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

your comment on COM:UDR[edit]

Commenting closing sections is pointless. And sections are closed after 24 hours if no response. So your later comments go nowhere, especially if misplaced.

Copyright information/declaration is helpful and informational only. Copyright law works regardless of it. If there is copyright declaration a potential reuser may know whom to ask about license; if there is none they have a problem. Our rules require explicit license declaration by the copyright holder, see COM:L. Ad per COM:PCP, in the case when license is not granted by the photographer, we may need to verify if there was a copyright transfer. A license granted by somebody who is not authorized to grant it is simply void.

We take much case of copyright and we want to ensure reusers that images in commons are properly licensed and free. We need to take special care for images that were published earlier due to potential DMCA takedown. Ankry (talk) 05:54, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Good on that. Someone contacted us and I understand everything in regard to photo use is under control and will be discussed further tomorrow. Even two of the photographers have been contacted, especially the one who took the recent photo(s). Thank you.2601:6C0:8002:CF90:781D:6E36:B2D2:7609 06:04, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
