Ziemia lubuska

Witaj, zauważyłem, że działasz w temacie Ziemi lubuskiej, super sprawa. Nie wiem czy widziałaś, ale jest taka odznaka w Wikipedii - 1. Według mnie zamiast tego czerwonego orła brandenburskiego (niepoprawnego na dziś), to powinien być herb Ziemi lubuskiej/diececzji, ale ja niestety nie umiem tego poprawić. Please don't blank redirects

Hi. I noticed, when requesting a file name swap for File:POL Barlinek COA.svg and File:POL Barlinek COA old.svg, you blanked the page where the redirect was left. Forgive me for this, but I'm still learning how the wiki commons mechanism works. ^^;

Always doing the so-called file name cleanup, I thought that the file transfer mechanism works like this: when you move one file to another name and that by automatically creating a redirect from the old name to the new name, it might be a problem to move another file under the old name of a given file that already exists. Now I know that I don't have to remove redirects from old file names.

Zmiana nazw kategorii jezior

Cześć. Na jakiej podstawie zmieniasz nazwy kategorii w Commons. Czy masz jakieś podstawy anglojęzycznego nazewnictwa tych jezior? Emptywords (talk) 11:11, 2 August 2023 (UTC)

Witaj. Wikimedia commons jest stroną międzynarodową, gdzie głównym językiem jest język angielski, więc również i nazwy kategorii posiadają przeważnie angielską nazwę. Wiadomo, że są czasami przypadki, gdzie zachowuje się oryginalną nazwę kategorii w swoim ojczystym języku, bo jest to nazwa własna jakiegoś obiektu, miejsca bądź przedmiotu.

W przypadku nazw jezior zauważyłam, że ich kategorie na wiki commons są nazywane różnie. Uważam, że nazywanie kategorii np. category:Jezioro Głębokie wprost po polsku brzmi trochę nieodpowiednio. Dodatkowo trzeba w edycji strony kategorii dodać za każdym razem formułę |nazwajeziora, aby posortować nazwę kategorii według kolejności alfabetycznej, co uważam za niekiedy uciążliwe, zwłaszcza, gdy raz kategorie trzeba a raz nie trzeba segregować.

Moim zdaniem, lepszym rozwiązaniem jest nazwanie kategorii jezior na dwa możliwe sposoby:

1. Poprzez podanie tylko samej nazwy jeziora np. category:Śniardwy
2. Poprzez dodanie do nazwy kategorii słowo lake, ale w drugiej kolejności, aby nie musieć specjalnie dodawać formuły |nazwajeziora za każdym razem oraz, kiedy występuje miejscowość o tej samej nazwie, co jezioro: np. category:Zbiczno Lake i category:Zbiczno (miejscowość)
