Hi Illustratedjc, when did the sculptor, who created this statue, die? --Túrelio (talk) 09:57, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Darn. Freedom of Panorama doesn't apply here, does it? I'll mark them for deletion. =( - Illustratedjc (talk) 10:19, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Regrettably not. However, if the sculptor is dead since long enough, they might be PD. --Túrelio (talk) 10:18, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that's unlikely. Oh well. - Illustratedjc (talk) 10:19, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
File:PamelaRojas-KWMulticultural-1.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

I tagged the other 3 paintings as copyvios but did not fill your talk page with the notices. I see you call yourself the author of most of the recent artistic uploads, however, you are not the actual artist of the painting or sculptures. It would be preferable to enter the artist's name in the author field together with their life date range (there may even be a {{Creator}} template for some of these artists, such as {{Creator:Johannes Vermeer}} and {{Creator:Nathaniel Hone the Elder}} you will find them in Category:Creator templates), and if you wish, add your own name as the photographer. Some great images. Thanks Ww2censor (talk) 09:35, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Ww2censor, I appreciate the advice. I've nominated the Yeats ones for deletion so they could be undeleted in 10 years. I won't bother doing so with the Picasso, since it wouldn't be deleted for nearly 30 years, by which time this may all be irrelevant. - Illustratedjc (talk) 10:42, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, happy to help. All 4 are now gone, so that's done. Copyright is quite a complex issue and many countries use different laws, so it is easy to stumble when trying to get it right. That's where image reviews can help. If you are not sure you can always tag an image with {{LicenseReview}}. Are you actually in Dublin? I don't visit more than a few days a year, so if we need some specific photos, is this something you can help with? Ww2censor (talk) 11:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Ww2censor: Unfortunately, no I don't live there. These are just some old photos from when I was there in 2015. - Illustratedjc (talk) 11:21, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So not an issue, I'll look for some others. Good luck. Ww2censor (talk) 11:23, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
