Wiki Loves Earth 2021[edit]

Hallo Hebrides,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. Mai bis zum 31. Mai 2021 findet zum neunten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth statt. Deutschland ist zum achten Mal dabei. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Wie du bei den Top 5 des vergangenen Jahres siehst, sind vor allem Tiere unter den Siegerbildern. Aus diesem Grund setzen wir den Fokus dieses Jahr stärker auf Landschaftsaufnahmen. Aber natürlich haben auch Tierbilder eine Chance zu gewinnen.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Findlinge, Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Auch im vergangenen Jahr sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen. Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du bei WLE 2021 - Deutschland und unter dieser Anleitung. Falls du im Moment nicht wie sonst in die Natur fahren kannst, findest du vielleicht in den Tiefen deiner Festplatte oder auf dem Smartphone noch interessante Fotos.

Du bist interessiert, am Wettbewerb mitzuwirken, dir fehlt aber die richtige Technik? Dann wirf doch mal einen Blick in den Technikpool und das Technikleihportal von Wikimedia Deutschland! Dort findest du Kameras, Objektive und Zubehör verschiedenster Art.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, vom 1. Mai bis 30. Juni 2021 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Damit bewertest du die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelst so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Juli tagen wird, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Earth 2021 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist bald hier freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Perspectives[edit]

Hi Rcsprinter, and thanks for making contact.

During recent years I've been working my way sporadically through correcting the images on Category:Images_requiring_perspective_correction that are actually used on wikis. A lot of those that remain are used only on user pages, and some say "There are no pages that use this file" – I see little point in spending my time correcting those.

After editing a file, I habitually check a few of the Wikipedia pages that use it, to make sure there are no problems. A few days ago I noticed that some of these pages had other images on the same page that needed perspective correction, especially on pages that were lists and had lots of images. So I thought it would be helpful to tag the images that needed correction. After tagging quite a few, I went back to work correcting perspective.

If you feel that any of my edits are controversial or give you cause for concern, please let me know and feel free to revert.

Also, I wonder if you could help me? I'm looking for a way of applying a filter to the display of a page like Category:Images_requiring_perspective_correction so that it shows only those images that are actually in use on Wikipedia pages. At present, I have to click on each in turn and scroll down to find out.

Hi Hebrides. Please would you kindly discuss with me before perspective-tagging my photographs? Sometimes it's valid, but sometimes the perspective effect is intentional. Today you tagged three of mine. I have corrected two (correct versions still waiting for server as I write this) but the third one was intentional, so I removed the tag and wrote an explanatory note on the image page. However I am concerned that someone else may see perspective tag in the future and wreck some of my photographs. Storye book (talk) 11:02, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be happy to do that. Apologies, I didn't realise that the perspective tag needed discussion before adding – I did read [1] and somehow got the misconception that editors could tag images uploaded by other people, especially since the tag just says "Marks images which may need to have their perspective corrected." I've done relatively little editing on commons (I work mostly on English Wikipedia) – is there a standard protocol to be followed before editing an image page? Please feel free to revert any of my edits, all of which were made in good faith. And thank you for all the images you've contributed to commons. Вікі любить пам'ятки 2021 в Україні / Wiki Loves Monuments 2021 in Ukraine[edit]

Привіт!

З 1 по 30 вересня вже традиційно пройде українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки»! В Україні цей конкурс пройде вже вдесяте. На конкурс можна подавати власні фото пам'яток історико-культурної спадщини України — і змагатися за призи. Більше можна прочитати за посиланням.

Радимо ознайомитися із детальними правилами, а також із відповідями на часті питання. Як і того року — у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток» можна отримати 21 бал за фотографії об'єктів, якщо світлин цієї пам'ятки раніше не було завантажено.

Нагадаємо, що всі фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Цього року вперше будуть окремо виділені фото з повітря (дронами, квадрокоптерами тощо) — у спеціальній номінації «Аерофото». Для того, щоб робота потрапила на спецномінацію потрібно вибрати її у Завантажувачі.

Також вперше проводиться спеціальна номінація «Пам'ятки Подесення», знову пройдуть спецномінації «Відео», «Єврейська спадщина», «Млини», «Пам'ятки національно-визвольної боротьби» та «Via Regia Ukraine». Для участі світлин у цих спецномінаціях не потрібно обирати нічого у Завантажувачі — світлини зараховуватимуться автоматично з відповідних списків.

Важливо! Цього року відбулася адміністративно-територіальна реформа. Однак, ми проводимо конкурс ще за попереднім адміністративно-територіальним устроєм. Ми почали роботу над створенням списків з новим поділом, але вона ще не є завершена. Ви можете користуватися тими новими списками, що вже є, якщо потрібно відшукати пам'ятку за новим поділом (деякі ОДА вже почали присилати у такому форматі), але пам'ятайте, що нові списки ще не є повними.

Привіт!

Нагадуємо, що до 30 вересня включно можна вантажити світлини та відео культурної спадщини України до національного етапу міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки»!

Зараз Україна посідає 3-є місце за кількістю завантажених світлин, поступаючись Російській Федерації та Німеччині. За першу половину місяця було завантажено світлини пам'яток із усіх регіонів України, але частина із них є дуже погано представлена. Севастополь зараз представлений тільки однією пам'яткою і одним фото, Крим — 12 пам'яток і 51 фото. Детальніше — у таблиці:

Цього року у конкурсі є вісім спеціальних номінацій:

«Аерофото» — для фото з повітря (зроблені дронами, квадрокоптерами тощо). Для того, щоб робота потрапила на спецномінацію потрібно вибрати її у Завантажувачі;
«Відео» — для відеосюжетів з пам'ятками;
«Єврейська спадщина» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
«Млини» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
«Пам'ятки національно-визвольної боротьби» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
«Пам'ятки Подесення» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
«Via Regia Ukraine» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом 15 населених пунктів, що за цим маршрутом є.

Wiki Science Competition 2021 in Thailand[edit]

เนื่องจากเราเห็นว่าท่านเคยเข้าร่วมการประกวดรูปถ่ายที่จัดขึ้นโดยวิกิมีเดียประเทศไทย เราจึงอยากเชิญชวนท่านเข้าร่วมการประกวดรูปถ่าย Wiki Science Competition 2021 in Thailand ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 15 พฤศจิกายน – 15 ธันวาคม 2564 นี้

มีรูปแบบในการประกวด 7 หัวข้อ คือ บุคคลในวิทยาศาสตร์ รูปจากกล้องจุลทรรศน์ สื่อที่ไม่ใช่รูปถ่าย รูปชุด สัตว์ป่ากับธรรมชาติ ดาราศาสตร์ และหมวดหมู่ทั่วไป
