"No error in location" ?? Please look again... ([1]): "Error: Invalid parameters!", "Expression error: Unrecognised word "n""... I think there was an error... - Erik Baas (talk) 02:25, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • That is an error in format, not an error in location. The format is one of the 3 internationally acepted formats. Unfortunately wikimedia does not support it. A sympathetic editor would alter the format to comply with wikimedia's requirements rather than just deleting primary information.Gubernatoria (talk) 03:13, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • It has nothing to do with any "internationally acepted formats", nor is the software to blame: you used the wrong template or the wrong parameter format. Anyway, the result was not good, and you put it there; don't blame me for cleaning it up. - Erik Baas (talk) 07:53, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Editors should be helpful and should correct format mistakes, not take the easy way out and simply delete poor formatting. You did not corret the geocode error. You simply deleted all the geocode information. Another editor has since shown me how to correct the geocode format error. That was helpful. Your behaviour however, has been most unhelpful.

Because your actions have been most unhelpful, and because you persist in being unhelpful and argumentative, no further correspondence will be entered into with you. You are requested to leave me, my entries, and my user talk page completely alone from now on. Gubernatoria (talk) 03:04, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by "Location DOES exist" ?? I wrote "Template Elevation does not exist", and I removed the erroneous location template; I never said anything like "location does not exist". ([2]) - Erik Baas (talk) 02:30, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • You deleted primary information for a location which DOES exist. The format provided was not in a format readable by wikimedia. An experienced person competent in wikimedia could alter the format to one acceptable to wikimedia, rather than simply deleting primary scientific verification. Gubernatoria (talk) 03:16, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Again: I never wrote that the location did not exist; where do you get this nonsense ?? I wrote that template Elevation does not exist; which, by the way, is true.
  2. Again: it has nothing to do with "a format readable by wikimedia": you used the template or the wrong parameter format.
  3. And finally: an experienced person competent in wikimedia would not have made such a mess of things in the first place, and then blame someone else who is merely cleaning it up. - Erik Baas (talk) 07:53, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am not an expeienced person competent in wikimedia. I have never pretended to be. I have never presumed to edit another person's work on this site much less delete their work. Editors should be helpful and should correct format mistakes, not take the easy way out and simply delete poor formatting. Another editor has since shown me how to correct the format error. That was helpful. Your behaviour however, has been most unhelpful.

The pleasure is mine; thank you. - Erik Baas (talk) 12:36, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
