File tagging File:ACI LinkLogo120px.jpg[edit]
This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:ACI LinkLogo120px.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:ACI LinkLogo120px.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Hi Gregorybarry, if you have permission from Keith Weller, forward it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org . --Túrelio (talk) 22:03, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

Please sign your postings[edit]
As a courtesy to other editors, it is Commons:Signatures policy to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, deletion requests, and noticeboards. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then automatically be added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). Thank you.

Getting permission to use images[edit]
Hi Gregorybarry
It would be great if you can get the copyright holder to send in a OTRS for Dr Niparko. Detailed instruction are here Commons:OTRS. There is currently a very long back log of OTRS emails to review. Therefore, once (after - not before) the OTRS is sent, you can add Template:OTRS pending to the image to alert other editors that permission has been sent in and is under review. Don't fret if the image does get deleted, as it can always be reinstated by an Admin. Don't worry about 'Continuum of Care' image. You're a newbie to Wikimedia Commons and once you learn the ropes you will be able to avoid these issues arising in future. We have these rules to stop things descending into chaos. Also, you appear to have some understanding of otology. This advice is not necessary for you to follow, yet if you can add a brief biography about yourself and interests to User:Gregorybarry. Then, other editors can ask for your advice about the correct place to add images to Category:Otology. All the best.--P.g.champion (talk) 00:43, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
Thank you. I will be more careful about things in my Sandbox. I was working on the article and just wanted to see what the image would look like. I appreciate your advice. Again, thank you. I am retired and have some time on my hands (less than you might think).

- Oh, you don't have to explain about free time. There was I, expecting to see out my twilight years in relive peace and quite. Just mowing the lawn from time to time and sitting on my porch watching the World go by. But the moment I retired, the phone rang non stop: Grandpa, my computer needs fixing, Grandpa we are going on vacation and you're going to have to look after our dog, Grandpa... etc. Now, I have barely a minute to call my own any more. My advice is to rip out the phone and hang a sign on front door saying Closed for Business – Gone fishing !. --P.g.champion (talk) 14:21, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
