Grand-Duc: we all have to respect the Commons:File renaming and Commons:Language policy rules. When the uploader wants his files to be named in his native language -- we have to respect it -- and we can't change it. Even if there was an error, it should be fixed in original uploader's language. An error in the name is not a base for translation. Consider it the next time, please...

Well, I assumed good faith in the person requesting the renaming, As a sensible rationale was given, I approved the request (COM:FR reason 3 is fully valid). I do not read anything in the language or renaming policy that we have to stick in an immutable fashion to one specific language in a filename, Commons is a Wiki, too. The policies only state that a filename could be in any language, at the discretion an the uploader, and that making a translation is not a valid renaming rationale alone. Here, there's a special point too: renaming is a maintenance task requiring additional rights, so there's only a limited workforce available. Seeing the backlogs in deletion requests and sometimes the filling of the renaming cat, I think that it's a luxury to wait for someone able to process a request in any given specific language. I saw that you are able to communicate in German, too. As this is my mothertongue, I'll express my opinion in German, too, in the aim of avoiding possible misunderstandings. // Ich bin von guten Absichten bei dem Nutzer ausgegangen, der die Umbenennung beantragte. Die Richtlinien legen nur fest, dass ein Dateiname in einer beliebigen Sprache nach der Wahl des Uploaders sein kann, und dass eine Übersetzung alleine niemals eine valide Umbenennungsbegründung ist. Hier gibt es außerdem noch einen Sonderfall: Umbenennen ist eine Wartungsarbeit, die zusätzliche Rechte erfordert, so dass nur eine begrenzte Menge an Arbeitskräften vorhanden ist. Wenn man sich die Backlogs bei Löschanträgen und dem teilweisen Volllaufen der Umbenennungs-Kategorie anschaut, glaube ich, dass es ein Luxus ist, auf jemanden warten zu müssen, der einen Antrag in einer bestimmten, festgelegten Sprache bearbeiten kann. Tu as bien sûr le droit de ne pas m'aimer. Mais je pense qu'on peut éviter les rancunes personnelles (qui sont inexistantes de ma part) et rester dans une relation professionnelle (qui n'a pas besoin d'être amicale).
