Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

This same file under the name of File:GLA Gladiators Badge 300dpi.svg was previously deleted by a Commons' administrator named Jcb per COM:L. Administrators only delete files without discussion when they believe they are clearly in violation of Commons policy. So, if you upload a file only to find that it has been subsequently deleted for some reason, the proper course of action is to discuss things with the deleting administrator and see if the problem can be fixed. The worst thing you can do in such cases is simply to reupload the file without addressing its licensing issues because (1) the "new" file you uploaded will almost certainly also be deleted for the same reason, and (2) your account may be blocked for continuously uploading copyright violations. Basically, pretty much everything you find online is assumed to be protected by copyright unless it is clearly licensed under a free license accepted by Commons or it considered to be in the public domain; moreover, only the original copyright holder of the content can release it under a free licenses and claim it as "own work". Finding a file online, downloading it to your computer, and then reuploading it to Commons is not a transfer of copyright ownership, so in order to upload the file to Commons you will need the explicit consent of the original copyright holder. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:06, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
