Hello! You had written: "No source that it is Gondi". I see some sources: [1], [2], [3]. Maybe they are not very reliable, but they exist... I'm not against such renaming: but it is a serious movement. We should be completely sure it is wrong identification, not only suspect it. Wieralee (talk) 17:43, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

- Since yesterday, the file has been renamed by Ruthven who found evidence that it was Mazarin : please see this talk page.
- Nevertheless, the mistake was that of the person who initially included the file in the Commons and simultaneously asserted that this was « Cardinal de Retz » without any evidence. After that, many French sites used the wikipedia Commons to illustrate their page when speaking of Retz. Thus, such sources were not reliable.
- This problem would have been easier to solve if the initial contributor had indicated that this was Cardinal Karol Wojtyla for example (!).
