Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy.

Re: Escuts[edit]

Gràcies company per les teves paraules! Tots els escuts tenen la mateixa mida, la raó de l'alçada és que hi ha corones (File:Escudo de Barcelona.svg) més altes que d'altres (File:Escut de Font-rubí.svg). Es va fer així perquè al posar totes les imatges juntes es veiessin iguals, independentment de la corona que porten. Els escuts de les EMD (Entitats municipals descentralitzades), al no estar timbrats, estan ajustats a la mida nomes de l'escut (File:Escut de Jesús.svg o File:Escut de Valldoreix.svg). Gràcies per la informació. Em vaig adonar, que a la viquipèdia alemanya (p.ex.aquí) els escuts no estan ajustats verticalment, però aixó probablement es pot corregir en la pantilla dels municipis. Hi Erik, if I understood Your question correctly, You want to know (regarding my bot request to move Category:HAPAG-Lloyd-Gebäude to Category:Hapag-Lloyd Gebäude) if the short form of Hamburg-Amerikanische Packetfahrt-Actien-Gesellschaft is HAPAG or Hapag, right? Well, the short form for Hamburg-Amerikanische Packetfahrt-Actien-Gesellschaft is usually HAPAG (written in all-caps), but when the company merged in 1970 with the Norddeutscher Lloyd to become Hapag-Lloyd, they changed that for the new company name to Hapag, as You can see in the corresponding articles (e.g. en:Hapag-Lloyd) or the company’s website http://www.hapag-lloyd.com. H.E. Fledderjohann House[edit]

Thank you for correcting the location of this house; I must admit that it was my fault for listing it wrongly. When I took the picture, I lived not far away, but far enough away that (1) my visit that day was the first time I'd ever been there, and (2) I was careful to combine a visit to New Bremen with a visit to New Knoxville. As a result, the various parts of the trip probably combined themselves in my mind, and I probably forgot that the Fledderjohann property wasn't in New Bremen like most of the rest of the pictures that I took toward the end of my trip. Faig el que puc, la llàstima és que tardo molt en carregar-les i quan provo de carregar-ne més d'una, em posa que tinc un error o un bug. M'estic dedicant a fotografiar tot allò que puc quan me'n vaig d'excursió, quan vaig de viatge, etc i llavors que la gent ho pugui utilitzar. No sé si faig bé, però quan trobo articles en altres llengües que no tenen fotos em dedico a posar-les o quan algun article té alguna foto de mala qualitat n'hi poso una de meva, si la meva té més qualitat. Quna dic qualitat, em refereixo a "es veu millor". Faig bé? Per cert tinc una foto que diu Campelles a l'album Pardines que hauria de dir Pardines, però no sé com puc cambiar el títol de la fotografia. Això hoi pots fer tu per mi? Hallo Gepardenforellenfischer, der Rotatebot rotiert die Bilder wohl nur im 90°-Rhytmus. Du müstes es deshalb selbst rotieren. Ich würde sowas vorher mit User:Alma, dem Fotografen des Bildes, abstimmen. Es ist immerhin sein Werk und er könnte sich auf den Schlips getreten fühlen. Bild der Bremer Räterepublik[edit]

ist folgendes Bild von dir?

Da steht etwas von Barth, aber ohne Link. Es geht mir darum, dass das Foto offensichtlich einseitig nachkoloriert ist und ich es deswegen für die Wikipedia ungeeignet halte. Was denkst du?

Hallo 92.227.13.30, das Bild aus dem Jahr 1918 ist vom Staatsarchiv Bremen, das Wikipedia einige Scans zur Verfügung gestellt hat. (Herr?) Barth ist der Name des Fotografen gemäß Auskunft des Archivs. Die Kolorierung des Bildes selbst ist bereits historisch und nicht etwa neueren Datums (so liegt das Foto dem Staatsarchiv vor). Da das Bild von hohen historischen Wert ist – es ist eine der wenigen erhaltenen Aufnahmen aus der Zeit der Bremer Räterepublik –, ist es für Wikipedia natürlich wertvoll und sehr geeignet. Wiki Loves Monuments 2014 startet in Kürze[edit]

Hallo Gepardenforellenfischer,

in Kürze ist es wieder soweit. Der nun schon traditionelle Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments wird im September zum vierten Mal stattfinden. In ähnlicher Form hatte unlängst der Wettbewerb "Wiki Loves Earth" eine erfolgreiche Premiere. Zu allen bisherigen vier Wettbewerben haben seit 2011 gut 3000 unterschiedliche Teilnehmer (User) ihren Beitrag geleistet. Du warst dabei, und bist auch herzlich eingeladen, am bevorstehenden WLM-Wettbewerb wieder dabei zu sein.

Allein in Deutschland wurden in den letzten drei Jahren im Rahmen von WLM rund 100.000 Fotos zu den insgesamt ca. 850.000 Kulturdenkmalen bundesweit hochgeladen. Jährlich haben sich mehrere Hundert Wiki-Fotographen daran beteiligt. Auch im kommenden Denkmalmonat wird dies gewiss wieder der Fall sein. Der Tag des offenen Denkmals am 14. September bietet bundesweit vielfältige Möglichkeiten, Denkmale nicht nur von außen, sondern auch von innen zu fotografieren. Denkmallisten sind dabei ein wichtiger Orientierungspunkt und zugleich auch Ziel der Einbindung der Fotos. Auch in diesem Jahr sind wieder neue Denkmallisten hinzugekommen, die hilfreich bei der Planung von individuellen oder Gruppen-Fototouren sind und auf eine Bebilderung warten, wie z.B. zu Görlitz oder Zittau. Unter den Landeshauptstädten fehlt nur noch Stuttgart. Aber auch hier ist Licht in Sicht.

In der Mitte Deutschlands hat die Denkmallandschaft der thüringischen Landeshauptstadt Erfurt nun das Licht der Wikipedia-Welt entdeckt. Mehr als 50 Tabellen enthalten 3.700 Denkmale. Allein die wunderschön restaurierte Altstadt umfasst 1.800 Denkmale. Eine von WMDE geförderte WLM-Fototour nach Erfurt am Wochenende vom 29. – 31. August lädt herzlich ein, diese einzigartige Kulturlandschaft zu dokumentieren. Mehr Informationen findest Du auf der Projektseite.

Der WLM-Countdown hat begonnen[edit]

Hallo Gepardenforellenfischer,

nun ist es wieder soweit. Vom 1. bis zum 30. September findet zum fünften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Im Mittelpunkt steht bekanntlich das Fotografieren von Kulturdenkmalen. Du hast an einem der letzten Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen und wir freuen uns auf weitere Bildbeiträge von Dir.

Viele interessante Motive, nicht nur Burgen und Schlösser, sondern auch Fachwerkhäuser, Brücken und Brunnen, technische und Industriedenkmale und vieles mehr gibt es noch zu fotografieren, damit sie in der Wikipedia dokumentiert werden können. Nützliche Tipps findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite. Du kannst gerne individuell Fototouren durchführen oder aber Dich auch Gruppentouren anschließen. Besonders freuen wir uns auf Fotos, die Lücken in den Denkmallisten der Wikipedia ausfüllen.

Darüber hinaus kannst Du auch an der Arbeit der Jury teilnehmen, die Mitte Oktober die Fotos bewerten und die Gewinner ermitteln wird. Bis zum 15. August kannst du hier Deine Bewerbung einreichen.

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open![edit]

Dear Gepardenforellenfischer,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on UTC.
