Hey, nice catch on that extraneous double bond. Fixed. Ninjatacoshell (talk) 19:39, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the quick fix. Ed (Edgar181) 20:44, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for uploading File:DCC_Structure.png! Did you know that the SVG format is often the best alternative for this type of image? Scalable Vector Graphics have a lot of advantages: they scale better, the file size is usually smaller, and they are easier to modify.

RE RILLKE Questions? 17:10, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm aware and routinely upload SVGs, but I was improving the currently used PNG. Ed (Edgar181) 17:13, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am really sorry for the inconvenience. Next time I'll have a look at the version history. --RE RILLKE Questions? 17:20, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Ed (Edgar181) 17:20, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you marked this file as disputed? Please remove your template. This 3d model was generated from mol file from drugbank site. You can fild this link in w:Isoniazid article. This is not hand made model, and same structure you can see in all files in Category:Isoniazid. Ink (talk) 17:25, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All done! Fixed. Thanks :) Ink (talk) 17:43, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the quick fixes. Ed (Edgar181) 18:13, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The version you uploaded on May 27 is the incorrect structure as it is missing the N in the pyrimidine ring. I reverted back to the correct structure but, by all means, please re-upload a higher resolution image — or SVG even — with the correct structure. Cburnett (talk) 03:09, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for catching that. I have replaced this file with the existing svg File:Pterin - Pterin.svg and since it's no longer needed, I deleted it. Ed (Edgar181) 12:52, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Brevianamide tangles

[edit]

There is a weird z-ordering effect with the bridged-bicyclic part of the File:Brevianamide A.svg and File:Brevianamide B.svg diagrams. The amide bridge is dotted (away) with respect to the flat ring but the carbonyl of that amide is in front of the ring bond. DMacks (talk) 19:33, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you're right. I'll fix it later today. Ed (Edgar181) 10:55, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done Thanks for letting me know. Ed (Edgar181) 13:59, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Ed, there is an issue about your picture Hasubanonine.png. What you have drawn is the enantiomer of Hasubanonine, I have uploaded the "true" Hasubanonine. Cheers, --Yikrazuul (talk) 20:12, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I have deleted my image. Thanks for creating the replacement. Ed (Edgar181) 20:48, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Polysorbat 40

[edit]

Hi, I am a new user und i used your photo of polysorbat 40 for my new Artikel(same name). I compared the chemical structure with Polysorbat 80 and 20,now i think there is a mistake: Between sorbitol and the three polyoxythylen units there is a missing oxygen. Whats your opinion? greetings

Jens

I'm not sure I understand your concern. As far as I can tell, the sorbitol-polyethoxylate portions of all the image in Category:Polysorbates are equivalent. In my image File:Polysorbate 40.png, the polyethoxylate portion is written a bit differently than some of the other images, but they are equivalent if w, x, y, and z each differ by one unit. concerning a deleted file

[edit]

Hi Edgar181,

you deleted File:Niacin biosynthesis.svg because it was incorrect. Therefore I'm wandering if the png version File:Nicotinic acid biosynthesis2.png is also incorrect. Could you check that. Cheers --Cwbm (commons) (talk) 14:29, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

File:Niacin biosynthesis.svg was missing double bonds in the aromatic rings. File:Nicotinic acid biosynthesis2.png looks correct to me. Ed (Edgar181) 15:54, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the answer. Is this a big deal to fix or is it easier to draw the svg again? --Cwbm (commons) (talk) 16:06, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
It's probably just as easy to redraw if needed, but I can undelete the file if you would prefer. Ed (Edgar181) 17:57, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Telavancin.png! Did you know that Wikimedia Commons recommends the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format for certain types of images? Scalable Vector Graphics are designed to look appropriate at any scale, and SVG images are easier to modify and translate, helping Wikimedia to distribute knowledge to all of the world. A lot of modern programs support SVG export. If you encountered problems or have questions, don't hesitate to ask me, a member of the Graphic Lab, or the Graphics village pump. Uploading images in SVG format isn't mandatory, but it would help. (To avoid any misunderstandings, please don't just put raster images into an SVG container as embedded raster.) Thanks, and happy editing!

Concerning File:HIV_Virion-en.png

[edit]

Hi Edgar181, I requested the deletion of file: File:HIV_Virion-en.png because it does not meet the basic requirements for reliable sources. I noticed that none of the objections raised by those who nominated to keep the file related to the reasons which I gave for deletion. Given that my concerns regarding the reliability of the source for the image have not been addressed why have you decided to keep the image? Do the rules for reliability of sources not apply in this instance?

The policy you cite relates to articles on the English Wikipedia and does not apply to Wikimedia Commons. The scope and purpose of the two websites are different. You are free to express your concerns on the English Wikipedia about the use of the image there, but clearly consensus here is that it is appropriate for Commons to host that image. IPI-926 structure

[edit]

You do a great job allowing imagery to be added to Wiki pharma and other chem articles.

Could you please see the official Infinity structure located in this PDF file and alter your image shared on the article IPI-926 (new name Saridegib)? http://infi.com/pipeline-archives/INFI_AACR2011_Tremblay.pdf

Thanks!!! And keep up the great work!

It appears to me that File:IPI-926.svg and the image shown in that pdf depict the same chemical structure. Although perspective of the stereochemistry around the spirocyclic portion is different, they are chemically equivalent, so I don't think there is anything that needs to be changed. Speedy?

[edit]

Hi Edgar

I started a deletion request (File:BEYDEO.png) which is uncontroversial. I was wondering whether you can speedy it. Thanks. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 20:35, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
