Chinese spinnen en munten
(muntspinnen en spinmunten)

Moi “QUISTNIX”.

De wereld is vol met toevallen (of is het toevaligheden?), ik heb je niet verteld dat ik vorig jaar de Engelstalige Wikipedia artikel “Toxeus Magnus” heb geschreven. Het is de enige Engelstalige niet-numismatische artikel dat ik met dit account heb geschreven (sinds ik al 16 (zestien) of zo jaar op Wikipedia actief ben, maar voor privacyredenen geef mijn oudere gebruikersnamen liever niet bloot). Tot die tijd (November 2020) was Primaltrek nog inactief, maar sindsdien zijn er al 4 (vier) artikelen daar geschreven door Gary Ashkenazy. Bij enig toeval gaat één hierover een spin. "‘Ancient Chinese coin’ discovered by villager while digging at ancestral burial site - A recent newspaper article tells the story of a Chinese villager who decided to move his family’s ancestral graves to a place with better feng shui (风水)." Nou dit leest alsof het over een vondst van crèMe vele Song-Dynastie munten gaat, vooral bij: "While digging, he accidentally uncovered an ancient coin. " dan gaat het nog verder waarbij de heer Gary Ashkenazy schrijft: "He had heard stories of people becoming rich by digging up ancient Chinese coins and selling them. Now this was happening to him. He was thrilled with his good luck and anticipated that he would reap a large fortune. " Maar niets is minder waar. Het lijkt sterk op (en is een) “bait-and-switch” verhaal.

De laatste tijd luister ik vaak naar het nummer “Rap Devil” van Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) waar hij zingt “When your idols become your rivals”, nou dit heb ik ook met Gary Ashkenazy, zijn artikel over Koreaanse Kèpèng-munten is één van de redenen waarom ik weer op Wikipedia begon te schrijven, uit de angst 😱 dat die lijjst van munttekens ooit zal verdwijnen. Machine Gun Kellu zingt verder “I gotta respect the OG’s, and I know most of ‘em personally”, nou ik heb David Hartill, François Thierry, Dr. Helen Wang, Sema, Howard A. Daniel III allemaal leren kennen dankzij dit.

Om verwarring te voorkomen met "de Primaltrek die ik al volledig het geïmporteerd" refereer ik naar de oude als "Gary Ashkenazy's (Hebrew: גארי אשכנזי) Primaltrek / Primal Trek website" en de nieuwe als "Gary Ashkenazy's (Hebrew: גארי אשכנזי) Post-2020 Primaltrek / Primal Trek website". Ik heb "zijn werk" enorm veel uitgebreid op Wikipedia, ik herinner mij nog toen bijna alle artikelen op Wikipedia "stubs" (beginseltjes) waren, toen ik met numismatische artikelen begon was dit ook waar voor Oosterse numismatiek. Gary Ashkenazy's (Hebrew: גארי אשכנזי) Primaltrek / Primal Trek website heeft het geen éne keer over Mahjong (toen ik dit schreef). Maar websites die over Mahjong gaan schrijven wel vaak over en citeren Gary Ashkenazy's (Hebrew: גארי אשכנזי) Primaltrek / Primal Trek website (ECHT) EXTREEM VAAK, puur omdat het vol zit over informatie over verschillende symbolen en hun betekenis in de Chinese cultuur, iets wat ik voor de context VOLLEDIG naar Wikimedia websites al heb geïmporteerd.   • Bracket matching will be added to the CodeMirror syntax highlighter on the first wikis. The first wikis are German and Catalan Wikipedia and maybe other Wikimedia wikis. This will happen on 27 January. [3]
  • Recurrent item The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 26 January. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 27 January. It will be on all wikis from 28 January (calendar).

Rare informatie

Bij "http://primaltrek.com/blog/about-me/" zag ik dat de tekst was veranderd. "My lifelong interest in Chinese culture began with a college class in Chinese art history.  I have a B.A. in history from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.B.A. from the University of Arizona.". Dit schreef hij eerder allemaal niet op de website en beweerde hij dat hij spontaan van Chinese cultuur hield.

Verder schrijft hij: "I lived in Asia for 13 years.  I was a Peace Corps volunteer in South Korea for 2 years working in a tuberculosis control project.  I worked and studied in Taiwan for 4 years and then in China for 7 years.". Wat nog steeds hetzelfde is als voorheen.

Maar dit is ook veranderd. "I was a Red Cross disaster volunteer for 12 years and currently volunteer as a docent at the Arizona- Sonora Desert Museum.". Dit was in iets langer geschreven en had hij het over de "Peace Corps".

Recent changes

  • You can choose to be reminded when you have not added an edit summary. This can be done in your preferences. This could conflict with the CAPTCHA. This has now been fixed. [4]
  • You can link to specific log entries. You can get these links for example by clicking the timestamps in the log. Until now, such links to private log entries showed no entry even if you had permission to view private log entries. The links now show the entry. [5]
  • Admins can use the abuse filter tool to automatically prevent bad edits. Three changes happened last week:
    • The filter editing interface now shows syntax errors while you type. This is similar to JavaScript pages. It also shows a warning for regular expressions that match the empty string. New warnings will be added later. [6]
    • Oversighters can now hide multiple filter log entries at once using checkboxes on Special:AbuseLog. This is how the usual revision deletion works. [7]
    • When a filter matches too many actions after it has been changed it is "throttled". The most powerful actions are disabled. This is to avoid many editors getting blocked when an administrator made a mistake. The administrator will now get a notification about this "throttle".
  • Advanced item There is a new tool to build new skins. You can also see existing skins. You can give feedback. [8]
  • Advanced item Bots using the API no longer watch pages automatically based on account preferences. Setting the watchlist to watch will still work. This is to reduce the size of the watchlist data in the database. [9]
  • Advanced item Scribunto's file metadata now includes length. [10]
  • Advanced item CSS and JavaScript code pages now have link anchors to line numbers. You can use wikilinks like w:en:MediaWiki:Common.js#L-50. [11]

[[::File:Simon Stampfer Litho.jpg|300px|center]] Simon Ritter von Stampfer (26 October 1792 (according to other sources 1790)), in Windisch-Mattrai, Archbishopric of Salzburg today called Matrei in Osttirol, Tyrol – 10 November 1864 in Vienna) was an Austrian mathematician, surveyor and inventor. His most famous invention is that of the stroboscopic disk which has a claim to be the first device to show moving images. Almost simultaneously similar devices were produced independently in Belgium (the phenakistiskop), and Britain (the Dædaleum, years later to appear as the Zoetrope).
