Speedy tagging

Please note that COM:CSD#F1 requires you to present clear evidence of copyvio, in the form of a link to an external copy of the image which: 1) has no free license; 2) predates the Commons upload; and 3) is of equal or higher quality than the Commons version (in terms of resolution, crop, presence of EXIF, etc.). Basically, the question to ask is: Could someone have simply downloaded the external copy and uploaded it to Commons? If not, then it is not eligible for speedy deletion. If you still think the image is suspicious, you can tag as {{subst:npd}} or open a COM:DR discussion. -- King of ♥ 07:06, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

Use of no permission tag

Hi. I noticed you tagged File:Fusion Sarah G.jpg as having no evidence of permission. However, the file is marked as own work, the author is named as the uploader and a valid licence is given. {{No permission since}} is therefore an invalid choice. If you have evidence of this being a copyright violation, you can use the {{Copyvio}} template. If you just have a general suspicion about the file, you should start a regular deletion discussion. Hello Doclys, since you deleted a category Shamsuddin Azeemi, just wondering why you act so fast. Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 11:56, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

You can create it again if you have freely licensed images. And to be clear, I am not the one who deleted the category; rather, I simply nominated it for speedy because it was empty. Thank you. Doclys👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ 🩺💉 12:14, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
File:Nicole Borromeo.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Copyright Violation

why i getting Copyright violations on a photo that i've took? and a warning that i'll be blocked Gu0222 (talk) 02:24, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

I understand your concern. However, the absence of EXIF data in the photo you uploaded raises questions about its origin. EXIF data typically includes information about the camera used to take the photo, the date and time it was taken, among other details. When a photo lacks this data, it can suggest that the photo was not taken by the uploader, but rather obtained from another source.
Additionally, the photo appears elsewhere on the internet, which is why I flagged it as a potential copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts photos that are in the public domain or released under a free license by the copyright holder.
If you believe there’s been a mistake, please ensure you have permission to use the photo and consider providing more information about the photo’s origin. If you took the photo yourself, you might need to explain why the EXIF data is missing.
Please note that repeated copyright violations can result in your account being blocked. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to ask. We’re here to help! doclys (❀) 02:48, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
